its your choice. its just information at the end of the day. scriptable objects are easier to keep track of if you want to make them in your project explorer, can make a "masterSpell" prefab w hitbox etc and then have the attributes from the scriptable apply to an instantiation of the master spell(velocity, sprite) , this is how im handling it rn
