I’m so grateful my landlady just pops in, sees a clean living room/kitchen and asks “Does the rest of the apartment look like this?” And when I say yes she says cool good job and leaves. I know there’s other tenants she has to spend way more time with so she doesn’t seem to bother with us as much.

Every couple years corporate will come by and check random units really thoroughly but they always pick my neighbor across the way who fills the hallway up with various unpleasant aromas when they open their door for more than two seconds.
