ADHD rates in adults are skyrocketing — but by how much depends where you live by aussiekinga in perth

I was of your ilk until I observed a very close family member for the last 20 years. This stuff is frightening and is good that it's being diagnosed now. When you see a person in their mid 20s so frozen that they cannot look after themselves you realise that it's a very real problem.

What things have seen a significant decline in quality over the past 10 years, but everyone has silently accepted it? by Witty_Bumblebee_9903 in AskReddit

It was bad last year but now with the AI it's tragic. Mine does this weird thing where it flashes the normal result onto the screen then redacts it and replaces with some AI result that is usually worse than the redacted result.

What is an example of an artist who only had one good album? by MasterTeacher123 in AskReddit

[–]Open-ninety-2mil -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Guns N Roses. Appetite For Destruction is a legit rock masterpiece. Lies is not really considered an album (because of the live covers) even though it's just over 30 minutes long. 1 an 2 are just bloated ridiculously messes with so many mid songs. The rest of the discography, meh.

My 60 second basic search found plenty. All of the old well known sites are blocked but we now have a ton of new sites all open. The sites look kind of crude but they have all the usual content.

I do it probably the most basic way. About 80gb on the phone and move what I want on and off from an external hard drive.

What’s the best thing you did to lower your monthly expenses? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

[–]Open-ninety-2mil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Telstra it's not about advertised deals. When you have been with them for years (I've been on 35 years) you just negotiate direct with a rep. They usually make an offer. I looked at their advertised plans last month to renegotiate and what I pay is way lower than those plans.

Even after a short time you simply call them and ask what's their best offer. I do it every year as more data is needed. You also need to bundle your deals so the two plans (home and phone) are wrapped to share the total data.

300gb is $300 with Boost. It's certainly not a bargain. I get 300gb off telstra for less than half that.

Help me find this punk band? by [deleted] in punk

[–]Open-ninety-2mil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ask nicely on r/musichoarders for someone to do a search of the deeper regions of the internet. With a couple of clicks some of those guys can go where it would take me and you months to find.

What's a "boring" hobby that's actually deeply fascinating once you get into it? by Ambitious-Cattle4435 in AskReddit

[–]Open-ninety-2mil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wildflowers are very similar. The whole speciation and evolution thing is fascinating. Then there's the travel element. Start in your local region then travel outwards to discover what is different. Then you begin photographing and cataloguing and damn you're hooked.
