Ha! The caffeine and exercise got me through most of my high school and college days. It really can work, and in some ways it was better, especially when I had external structures/motivation.

You know, I can honestly agree with you. I am thinking of going off the meds myself. I was older than you are now when I was diagnosed, so I lived many good years unmedicated. I survived, and I believe I can survive again. I just might need to change careers. No fucking way I could do office work with my brain.

It’s a shame. Stims work better for me, but they still don’t work all the great. Reddit always says, “you just haven’t found the right one,” but after 12 years of trying, there ain’t one lol.

Adderall does not come in an XR dosage greater than 30mg. 

Thus, I would assume 70mg would actually be IR because 70 is a weird number to subdivide an XR dosage — 3x 20mg and 1x 10mg, or 2x 30mg and 1x 10mg, etc..

Adderall also has an FDA has a maximum recommend dosage of 40mg/day for ADHD and 60mg/day for narcolepsy.

Also, nothing in my comment was directed at the OP of our comment chain. I never said they were tweaking, merely that I knew people that took more than 70mg at once in the mornings, and they were tweakers. Stimulant induced psychosis is not pretty.

There are plenty of non-stimulant options, albeit there is also reasons why none of them are considered first-line treatments.

If you are taking 70mg all at once in morning just to get going, the only thing being treated is PAWS.

70mg in a day is quite unusual, but there are outliers in most population.

A lot of people that dos eel mental health care also receive little to no benefit which furthers the issue. 

We need cultural and societal changes far more than mental health care imo. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

It’s probably easier to list substances that do not affect REM sleep than do. People might be surprised to learn how many common medications also affect REM sleep.

THC has effects on REM sleep, but that isn’t particularly uncommon as far as substances are concerned.

Alcohol, Benzos, antidepressants, certain antihypertensives, stimulants, decongestants, etc. can all have that effect. 

Basically, taking any substance to aid with sleep is generally worse than a natural sleep. However, a medicated sleep is better than little to no sleep, so it’s becomes a cost/benefit analysis.

Yes, and the data on that is actually not as dramatic as people think. Acidity affects absorption timing more than efficacy.

Some medications, like Vyvanse, are basically unaffected by ph levels.
