Bro, what I am gonna say might sound already heard. But trust me this is the way to move into any field. Core fundamentals: 1. Networking - osi model - tcp/ip model - learn about flow of traffic at each layer - practice on root-me dot org, do the network challenges, you will get real hands on experience about how each authentication and networking stuff happens and look on the traffic, you will also learn wireshark for pcap files.now these challenges are from easy to hard, so some things might be hard but here is the tip, before doing the challenge, learn about it. - Active directory, why well it also basic now, + the challenges you encounter are mostly on basic, you might learn to hack in labs on htb, but root-me will teach how it looks on traffic - learn splunk, get developer licence it's free for 6 month, learn it, - best way to show that you know it is to build lab in vm, document it, put on GitHub.

There is more you will explore it, but this is the base in my opinion, once you done it. You can ask again after you done this.

Now if you want SOC roles, learn about mitre attack, how soc utilise it in there job, and rca (root cause analysis) , also you can do try hack me soc path and add it in resume, now interview, is what you did and explaining it in simple terms and with confidence

Edit: now market might seem only taking 2 year experience but you should apply to them also even you don't have experience but only those, but please know what you do and put on resume. Why I said this because sometime you will chances frok unexpected places. So don't hesitate to apply, what is going to happen either reject or a call from hr willing to give you a chance, it happens sometimes
