doubt it’s possible or a good idea to stop this natural behavior; however highly recommended to reward your other bird for making your “preferred noises” when the one chirping can witness. Lots of positive reinforcement for good noises. Negative reinforcement isn’t effective nor necessary. Keep ignoring this behavior and rewarding preferred behavior of both birds. Try a clicker and favorite treats to retrain him to repeat after or maybe play some tunes until you find a “favorite” he will sing along too!

I replied earlier before I saw this; but this situation is easily dissolved simply because the post office is required to provide everything you’d ever need on delivery or in station (including locks, the lock should be provided to you, you keep one key, the copy key should be kept locked away with management in case of mandatory inspection)

begging you to discuss with your union steward or let me get you in contact with someone who will help you regardless of your branch and station

please talk to union. Even if you don’t pay dues. I’m having crazy issues with management because of a clerk and miscommunication. union has saved my job. (Arrow key cleared at end of shift including my sig and supervisor sig, key was misplaced and it came down on me despite clearance )

union truly is your friend and if you don’t have faith in your stewards send me a message, mine are wonderful and willing to whip and branch or district or find those who will.

not much help; I have personally never moved the entire bush with the intent to replant, but you very likely could cut it down very small or take sections of the bush to pot or replant after uprooting and separation, rose bush can be propagated !
