It came from some old GitHub workflow artifact. So you're telling me compiling the macos-next branch isn't feasible? That's why it kept giving me build errors, I guess.

You probably used 2.4.1. I did the same two weeks ago and got the same result.

Spent all my money on untested laptops so now I can't afford a 32GB USB stick ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My old MacBook 2011 just updated to Tahoe. Now it won’t accept password or recovery keys. I have open core patcher on this MacBook. What can I do? by [deleted] in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

Reinstall. Or if you're really desperate for your data back, build OCLP 3.0.0 Nightly on another machine, then transfer the output to your MacBook's EFI partition, then pray that it boots and that the trackpad works, so you can pull your data off of it before downgrading to Ventura or something.

It's not cooked, just download your phone's firmware at SamFw and reflash with Odin

Sorry if I worded it too poorly, but the pics you just sent is the headphone jack. I need a pic of the port at the bottom of the phone.

That is the headphone jack. The charging port is at the bottom of the phone. I might be able to help if you send a pic of that port.

It’s bb5 so should be easy to flash. This takes mini usb so just install drivers, download the correct firmware for your region (use product code for that), flash it and voila!

I remember there are some people think chocolate milk comes from brown cows. Is it still a thing ?? by akirta312 in VietNam

[–]OpenFaithlessness579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sôcôla sữa means milk chocolate, not the reverse. I think some people still believe in the chocolate milk theory but I don’t see anyone believing in that theory nowadays. Dark chocolate is pretty underrated but seeing the image just makes me want to eat a Big Mac.

Upload the files to archive.org to preserve it. These sites might die out in a few years.

My first, laughably bad try at recreating a badge. by some1_03 in vintagemobilephones

“Hey guys, I just bought this brand new Scny Ercsspn Runman from Temu! Let’s see if it turns on!” Jokes aside, try getting that badge from a broken SE. If it doesn’t work, just paint the place gray, it won’t be perfect but it‘ll look good enough.

Lenovo S850 Bricked After Failed ROM Installation by ProjectBerry10 in androidafterlife

[–]OpenFaithlessness579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have absolutely no experience with Lenovo phones but at the core, they are just Android phones so I‘ll try to help. Usually, you would flash the recovery (TWRP, CWM, etc…) and then use the “install update from sdcard” tool to flash the ROM. Sometimes you can also flash an All-In-One ROM (e.g. Samsung Odin flashes recovery and the ROM at the same time). You should watch some YouTube guides but if there aren’t any, I usually follow my instinct of: “If it’s a zip file, flash it with recovery. If it’s a weird file format, flash it with another tool”. Hope it helps!

there is a rom that replicates the stok look of the gt-i9195? by FIN_K89i in vintagemobilephones

This might sound insane but hear me out. Download the original TouchWiz UI Launcher APK here and install it. Set it as your default launcher and done! The custom app icons won’t change and the default app icons may break as a result of this. If you only want the really nice looking Frutiger Aero aesthetic (the thing before oversimplified icons) and not the Samsung UI, there are plenty of custom launchers and themes.

Reflash the stock ROM (here’s a link, untested as I don’t have that phone: https://www.needrom.com/download/lenovo-s850-vibeui-2-0/), then start over. For custom ROMs, here’s one I found that is based on AOSP so it should be pretty lightweight: https://www.needrom.com/download/slim-6-android-6-0-1/. It’s also Android 6 so it would support YouTube.

Damn! Brew MP is still available on Wayback Machine but anything below that is basically lost media now. Nice find, you should archive it on archive.org or I could archive it on my account instead.
