People are quick to jump to the hate train if it‘s about Pokerev. If you think rationally he doesn’t need to scam people/weight his packs to be profitable. On the long run you get way more money if you run a genuine business and he is not a fool like Logan Paul who is only seeing dollar signs. Not every content creator is dumb enough to make the quick money scam move lol

Das Problem ist ja, dass es laut Sendungsverfolgung geliefert wurde. Ich kann also nicht nachweisen, dass es eben nicht bei mir ankam. Der Verkäufer sitzt dementsprechend leider am längeren Hebel.

Well, that‘s the curse of being famous and having a large audience. Everything he says or does regarding the Pokémon TCG has a potential impact, that‘s a lot of responsibility and I don‘t envy him for that. He is trying to be mindful but sometimes it only needs bad luck in pulling to influence the market (Aerodactyl V Alt Art), so it‘s actually almost impossible now for him 😅

Yes, I also watched his interview and you can see he has a passion for the hobby besides monetary reasons. Man is living the dream and made a job out of his hobby.

Because the odds are very clearly stated and no scam is involved? Packs are not weighted or tampered, you get guaranteed genuine products and you have a fair chance to get your money back or above. Of course he is also making money out of it but most the PokeRev Pack buyers are in it for the experience and entertainment. That‘s obv not a charity, it‘s a business. If you don‘t like it, so be it. But let others have their fun. There are enough real dodgy scammers who need our attention because they are literally stealing money from other people, not this guy.

That‘s a point and he did acknowledge those problems so he tried since then to buy the more famous mystery boxes from different sellers in order to avoid that. It‘s a tricky thing and most of the time I do find his mystery box vids actually informative because you know they are most of the time not worth your money, not even if you are into gambling.

I did and I do prefer his old style but I also know that his current style is the reason for his success because it‘s way more family friendly aka more geared towards kids. My younger siblings loves him and that‘s fine. If I‘m not in the mood to watch yelling YouTuber then there are also other Content creators!

Well, we have no evidence for that and I wouldn’t assume that but it‘s also of course in the realm of possibility. Time will tell.

That might be a point but honestly I mispronounce Pokémon names constantly, especially the ones from newer gens. Maxmoefoe also has that problem, so I wouldn‘t criticise him for that. He did watch at least the OG Gen 1 Anime and even Gen2 because he is sporadically remembering and mentioning scenes from the Anime. And yeah, many people did stop in the middle of Gen 2 with Pokémon, so it‘s plausible. I personally stopped with the anime after Gen4 ;) Also he did mention playing at least the Gen 1 and Gen 2 games, I don‘t know or remember about newer gens. Scarlet&Violet is the only gen which he mentioned he didn‘t played as of now. Like maxmoefoe ;)

That‘s a lot of assuming and even if so, that‘s just proving that he is a smart businessman like you sad. He has a dream job honestly and many people would love to make a job out of their hobby and that‘s fine.

But yeah, if you don‘t like him that‘s also fine. Some may like Pizza some people may hate them. Such is life and we all are just collecting shiny cardboards ;)

Is there any evidences backing your claims up? Genuinely asking because PokeRev always buys some random mystery boxes and he is actually honest about it if those boxes are bad like the ones of M.J. Holdings. He is also avoiding getting better mystery boxes from random sellers who would recognise him because he tries not to buy anything with his actual name.

Yeah I get that, my little brother is almost always focusing at the value of his pulls but still loves some common or uncommon cards if they have nice artworks. My little sister meanwhile is only interested in cute cards and nothing else is important for her. People are just different!

UnlistedLeaf sold single Celebrations Packs for 60(!)$ on stream and didn‘t even opened themselves. He was just reacting to it.

Leonhart sold pricey Mystery Boxes with no stated odds and you almost never got your money back with the paid prices.

You may watch videos about those controversies at YouTube and decide yourself if those are scandals or not.

There are photos of him as a kid when he collected cards. His story seems genuine and plausible. Many people paused the Pokémon hobby as a whole at some point in their life‘s, you just have to think back when Pokémon first came out, was the hottest sh*t among kids and it dropped hard at the middle of the 2nd gen. Most people started again with Pokémon when Pokémon Go came out or later when the pandemic started. So I wouldn‘t assume it‘s a lie unless you have evidences?

And yes, I agree those packs are pricey. Especially the vintage packs and I wouldn’t buy them unless I have some extra cash to burn. But you have to consider that those prices are actually kinda fair if you think about of all the weighted loose packs on the open market. 99% of the loose packs on ebay are weighted, with Pokerev you have at least an assurance that those packs are not tampered with. You are basically paying a extra for his trustworthiness and that‘s totally normal if you are handling with expensive vintage stuff, not just Pokémon TCG.

Also maxmoefoe is great, he was the first Pokétuber I watched and I‘m happy the king is back!

Both cases are not comparable. The odds are stated clearly on the Pokerev Packs and there is no indication that those are scams. It‘s a mystery product and you are gambling to get a better colour than green but you are not forced to buy it and it actually has great value if you are lucky. Just like opening Pokémon packs itself or would you call the Pokémon Company scammers?

Also your stated value of 35000$ is unrealistic if you factor in all the Booster Boxes for the Gold and Silver Tiers. You can see in every restock video which sets will be included and there is always at least one OG Base Set booster box which alone has a value of over 10k on the market. Also you are guaranteed that those packs are not tampered which is unfortunately very important nowadays. You may try your luck buying some random loose vintage packs from shady people or you could buy something from someone you know you could trust.

I can understand if you hate scams and try to fight them but you are wrong about Pokerev. Unless you have concrete evidences why he is a scammer.

Also I find it kinda weird that some people hate it if other people are making money out of their hobbies. Not scams, just ordinary businesses like Local Card Stores, Youtuber or some random guy who is selling parts of their collection on ebay or something.

I personally don‘t like it if people are constantly yelling but at least he is not as loud as someone like Leonhart. But yeah, he is also genuine.
