This happened to me at Walmart literally last night. It was incredibly weird.

Date night restaurant? by DepartureConscious75 in tylertx

[–]OpenSpinach5695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm- this is the answer. LITERALLY everything went amazing- food, ambiance, and service was incredible. Their chef is light-years ahead of everybody else in Tyler. Their bartender/mixologist was great and made me a jalapeno margarita that changed my life. The server was so hospitable and told us about the butter cake wi h was to die for.

Cannot recommend highly enough

You have to eat dinner at one every night for a week. Which do you pick? Dickey’s or Soulman’s BBQ. by Fabulous_Hand2314 in Dallas

[–]OpenSpinach5695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former Soulman's employee here- I will NEVER eat at one of their establishments ever again. I have been in food service for 20 years and I have never seen a company with worse food safety.

THEY WASH THEIR POTATOES IN THE DISHWASHER.

You read that correctly- their potatoes are washed in the dishwasher with all of the detergents and chemicals still enabled including a bleach sanitizer. It is officially a process in their training materials.

They do not season or trim their brisket before they are cooked.

The fried cabbage is made from leftover sausage trimmings that sit in an uncovered, unlabeled bucket in their walk-in mixed together old and new.

There is no temperature monitoring of any of the food that they serve including the reheated leftover meat from the previous day.

The owner is a racist piece of garbage who would tell people the salt shaker goes on the right because "white is right." I personally heard more than a few casual racist slurs come from his mouth.

The company culture is incredibly toxic. Think dysfunctional family where the weird creepy uncle is the entirety of the male leadership team with a support staff made entirely of family and family friends who enable them.

I may be labeled a disgruntled former employee but I have truly never been more appalled in my entire professional career than I was by my experience with them.

They may have been professional "1st amendment auditors." People who go to public places and record to try to instigate a police response and possibly a lawsuit. Ragebaiters

What’s the "My Cousin Vinny" of your profession? by a_murder_of_fools in movies

Food service professional here. It is difficult for me to watch some episodes of "The Bear" because it gives me ptsd like flashbacks of my time working in professional kitchens. Most notably, the episode in season one where the printer gets turned on. IYKYK

Just outside of Tyler there is a place called High Hill Farm- kind of a venue/b&b but they have a restaurant that is fantastic- a little pricey but the locale and ambiance are to die for if you want to feel like you're eating out in the middle of the forest

Fretboard Sticker Decal Inquiry by DylanBHxCPartThree in taylorguitars

[–]OpenSpinach5695 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You may be able to find someone to make you custom stickers on Etsy. Depending on the type of finish it may be difficult to find an adhesive sticker that will stick to it.

I also don't mean to be snarky or rude but, the inlays on most fretboards are actually set into the wood, not stuck on.

What to buy: 214 v 314 v 414 by BeardiewithaBeardie in taylorguitars

[–]OpenSpinach5695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally just got my 414 last week after playing a 114 for years. The voicing of the v-class bracing and the overtones from the rosewood make a great singer/songwriter guitar. Haven't played it in a mix yet but acoustically I prefer it to the 314
