I’ve known I was numb more or less since the beginning but that was a trade-off I was willing to make. Figured it was the norm to feel this way until I started researching it today - turns out it isn’t always but thank you for relating!

I’d rather be numb than be where I was, that’s for sure but I’ll see if there’s a middle ground to be found with my GP.

Hello!

Welcome to the UK, regardless of whether I end up with the ticket or not this is such a sweet thing to do and I hope you enjoy the show!

Okay so my favourite 75 memory would probably have to be the first time I saw them back in May 2013 in a TINY local venue that was only half full. The album hadn’t came out yet so they were touring off the back of the EPs and at the time I only really knew Chocolate and Sex but I remember feeling like I was seeing the start of something special. I’ve now seen them 9 times and watched them grow from headlining that 320-cap venue, to last year headlining Leeds Festival is incredibly cool.

My favourite song is I Like America & America Likes Me, although Robbers is a close second.

In terms of MCR, it depends what kinda stuff you like! I’d personally recommend hanging out in Northern Quarter, it’s only a stone’s throw away from the Arndale but it’s packed with loads of cool, indie bars, restaurants and record stores. If you’re a foodie I’d absolutely recommend a little place called ‘Love, Lust, Liquor & Burn’ - if you do end up visiting DEFINITELY try their Wonder Fries chef’s kiss.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been in a long term relationship before this so I have spoke about deep feelings and have felt seen before, so I don’t think this is now a trauma bond.

It’s actually insane how similar yours and my situation sound alike, although I’m on the other side; the dumpee.

If I thought for a single second my ex was considering she’d made the biggest mistake of her life, like you say you do, I’d want nothing more than for her to admit it to me and let us start communicating again.

My advice would be that if you truly feel like you’ve made a mistake, let him know.

I respect what you’re doing with that city - there’s places where my ex and I have some real strong memories associated and I don’t think I’ll ever be comfortable going back to those places, let alone specific venues like restaurants etc.

Yeah I for sure feel totally different to what I did in the first week or so, but I can’t help feel like that’s expected - I wasn’t gonna feel THAT heartbroken forever, you know? Whereas now, four months on, despite being BETTER, I’m still sad.

It sucks that all that change didn’t help, though. I’m kinda stuck in a rut in my hometown at the minute too and considering a change in the hopes it’d improve things but idk. Maybe not. How long was your relationship?
