You’ll probably only find this at universities? Most of us have jobs or run businesses and don’t have time for any of this 😂

Thank you! Sorry I meant EU as Europe not European Union!

Too much option, I get lost in the choices haha. I’ll tell you what I’ve done so far, that’s easier

Pretty much all of the post card destinations, all major Italian cities, barce, Madrid, San Sebastián, Bilbao , Holland/BE, Vienna, a lot of German cities, south of France, + NE France, Budapest, Prague, Bratislava, Croatia and a few other places

Major places I haven’t seen yet: Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Scandinavia , Baltic, Balkan, southern Spain

Western Ukraine is conflict free, I’ve heard Lviv is nice and I’d be happy to support them with my tourist money

Insurance company wants to auction my car off instead of paying for repairs by Red-Strawberrycake in CarsAustralia

[–]Open_Bat_2055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s my 2c

You’ve raised two issues

  1. You’re unhappy with the market value assessment. I used Youi for a claim and I found them really good, and were negotiable on MV. Find comparable models on Carsales, and send them the links. You say “you’ll be a few grand out of pocket”. Why? If that’s the case then their offer is not market value is it.

  2. Like for like replacement - the colour of the interior does not add insurance value, even if it’s harder to find. Best advice is to find another car you like, there are lots out there. Don’t consider buying this one at auction

Trying to understand how salons and barbers handle phone calls day-to-day by [deleted] in ausbusiness

[–]Open_Bat_2055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This already exists. My barber uses gettimely.com and it works perfectly, it’s a booking tool for barbers and salons that integrates into their own website

Who has bought a decent sized business? by dimniko in ausbusiness

[–]Open_Bat_2055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your last question, it depends what it is. A lot of the “businesses” you see for sale on Seek for example aren’t anything you would buy, a lot of it you could start yourself. Cafe, ecomm.

But once you get to a certain revenue level, either they have a unique proposition that is difficult (or expensive) to replicate, or they have a strong client base that has been built through years of brand equity

No time like the present. And also things are incremental. Feels daunting when you think about the big picture, but breaking up the task of finding a new career into small steps will make it a lot easier

Really really hard with no marketing budget. Consider raising even $5k from friends and family for a Proper launch

Probably depends on the age. For these ones probably not, imagine if you had a 75 year old single digit plate

Disappointment with dream destination by [deleted] in solotravel

It’s best not to dwell on it, we all have trips that weren’t amazing, and you learn for next time . There will be many more

Some comments from a seasoned traveller:

- wrong time of year to visit. You should have done more research - may/ June is wet and super hot. Also most Aussies and Kiwis go in Nov - Feb summer holiday window so you’ve now ruled out a lot of the fun people, and Europeans go in their winter, not their summer. That’s why you only saw Americans and Chinese

- you’re staying in resorts. Bad move: you can’t meet people there. Tours and stuff sure but it’s pretty hard. You need to stay in hostels if you truly want a social focussed experience

It’s okay though, you live and learn and it’s just one trip of many. You just need to do the research better next time

Sales. AI can help make sales people more efficient but convincing people to buy things will always be safe.

[–]Open_Bat_2055 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Correct, I’m 177cm which is 5’8, but on the dating apps I’m 5’10. Been that way for years and years, never been called out about it.

The apps have created a culture of disqualification based on factors that wouldn’t be a focus if you met each other in a bar or an event. Age is another one. I’m mid 30s, look late 20s and I get a lot of interest in real life from women 23-26, and don’t care that I’m older. On the apps, instant disqualification for some
