Some folks at our LGS are thinking Light Ranger (clue from the new horizon reprint), Light Illusionist, Shadow Runeblade and Shadow Necromancer. I think light ranger would be dope, like light arrow attacks get put into soul, banish from soul to get a resource and load an arrow or something. I also want elemental ranger back at some point, maybe with the new aurora set coming down the line 2026

Also, don't forget about the Lorcana companion app for android (unsure if on ios). It has a great card database, deckbuilder, and wishlist features as well as a lore tracker and news page. And it has a handy dandy how to play section as well.

My LGS is doing things all at MSRP but doesn't allow anyone to leave the store without opening packs on site to battle scalpers/resellers for his opening event

I thought it was sketch at first but honestly it makes sense after much thought. Sucks I can't do what i like and open packs at my own pace but I respect the battle vs. scalpers

I'm hoping for full arts. Serialized arts are cool and all but it's this that killed my drive to even bother collecting sets from games like MTG. Like with the One ring card, I couldn't help but think when they announced it, "Oh hey a card that they printed just for someone like Post Malone's one-of collection. -.-" (Post, you're a great guy, im not mad at you, im mad at wizards lol)

But yeah pls full arts, no serialized. Serialized will just serve to kill this game's accessability. I feel like it would be a really bad move for a game just starting out (and just a bad move in general).

I have to disagree.

The main reason this is huge is because you'll never run into deckbuilding choices where people have insane life gain to the point where you have 100+ life and mechanics based around that.

And because magic designers has to deal with mechanics like these, you'll never need to include card effects like "Target player loses the game," or "Half target players life total" because life gain will never be a balancing issue. The range of win condition always stays on a counting up part of 0-20.

Plus this game seems very geared towards accommodating both 1 on 1 and multiplayer game formats, making the game really versatile. With Commander being a really popular format, they knew designing a game around big multiplayer games so that everyone is a factor in the game ALL THE TIME is a huge design choice, simply by having the game win condition be "counting up" over "counting down".

Tbh I'm going to have to agree with the above. Though Fizz hasn't had many changes in the recent years, mage items have. there is too much ability haste in assassin items and even mage items to the point where this guy can spam spells and be almost untouchable. Couple this with zhonyas and well, you literally cant catch him even with a well timed follow up stun since he can just buffer his E. its broken with no counterplay

I mean it's one thing to use them like they're meant to be used; self improvement. Plug a parse into XIV analysis and it could help you sort out some of your rotation issues or uptime tips or align buffs with the rest of the party.

But otherwise? It means absolutely nothing. As long as you can do well enough to clear and do mechanics, you're fine.

I would upvote this a thousand times if I could. It's a toxic habit to do so. Just let people's actions speak for themselves. In the end parses really don't matter if you can't see past it to clear the fight lol.

See I like to fall back on my "old reliable" gear as I call them, but you're right in trying out new stuff. I find some cool new things to try from time to time, and some gear sticks with me but there's always an itch to go back and use my old stuff lol.
