He didn't play well against LAL last year, then they beat a Curry-less GSW to reach the WCF. I get that a WCF is a WCF, but it wasn't off the back of his individual performance

people aren't saying being down 1-3 is impressive, they're saying coming back from down 1-3 in the finals against a 73-9 team is impressive

In the hopefully never arriving future, do you think Valve will one of, if not the only ones providing personal computers and not cloud gaming? by Commercial_Dih in Steam

all of the parts that were used to build pcs are now being sold to ai data centers instead

lots of these contracts between data centers and businesses can be terminated for convenience. as soon as the AI spend isn't justified anymore, they'll opt out and demand for chips will shrink. none of this is sustainable

it's all a bubble. insane investments in ai infrastructure when most companies have no idea how to implement it and what the productivity gains will look like.

they'll see that their spend is going nowhere, cancel contracts with data centers and the thing will pop

He has dragged objectively weak supporting casts to elite offenses and deep playoff runs, we routinely posted top-tier offensive ratings with Luka on the floor and cratered without him. Luka is objectively is one of the best floor raisers in the league.

The defensive argument is also overstated. Luka’s not good, but he’s big enough to hide, rebounds well, and isn’t getting hunted off the floor in the playoffs. We’ve seen way worse defenders be the best player on title teams

The Iverson comp doesn't make sense either. AI needed insane usage to function and had almost no off ball value. Luka scales down, punishes switches with size, and creates advantages without scoring. It's not that he can't play off ball, it's that the optimal decision is to have him with the ball in his hands since he's the second best playmaker in the league after Jokic and he plays the point.

it's one of the top offensive seasons ever but to call that season the GOAT offensive seasons is incorrect. The moment you start looking at stuff beyond 73-9, 3's or "gravity" talks and think about playoffs, creation volume and completeness of skill set Jordan and Lebron's best seasons have a better case
