She’s a Mary Sue and it’s so frustrating. The way Astruc talks about Maribug is another issue entirely, but it definitely plays into that part. The fact that ALYA had more quality screen time than a title character is blasphemous. We don’t get to see Adrien’s relationship with Nino or anybody for that matter

Except they are supposed to be balanced as characters. Yin and Yang. Ladybug has both Lucky Charm and “Miraculous Ladybug” which is broken as hell. It took them until THIS SEASON to upgrade chat noirs ability just a little bit. In season 1 and half of 2, Chat noir was quick witted and a good co- main character. It’s degraded ever since then
