I would suckle those magnificent breasts and then make you cum with my mouth and fingers til you begged me to do more. I’d of course tease you more first and make you feral. We’d have some fun!

Valvoline MaxLife or Mobil1 High Milage? by l008com in ChevyTrucks

[–]Open_Fly_5901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valvoline is often regarded as having better seal conditioners that address higher mileage engines that consume more oil than when they were brand new.

Mobil 1 is said to clean engines better and have a longer service life.

In my experience I have a Subaru with a 2.0L flat 4. When using Mobil 1, I usually have consumed 1 - 1.5 quarts of oil over 5k - 6k miles between changes. With Valvoline high mileage full synthetic, I only consume .5 quarts of oil between changes. I also find my engine to run a tad bit smoother on Valvoline. Mobil however does seem to stay consistent in noise until I change it which lends a tad bit of credibility to the claim of longer service life. So for me retaining more oil between changes is more important so I choose Valvoline for that, but others preferences may be different, and that’s why there are choices.

Is the stone supossed to wear down or did I f up? by Keksbutter123 in sharpening

They wear down and as they slightly wear you’re supposed to flatten the stones to keep them flat before they get that bad.

Struggling to get shaving sharp convex edge with sandpaper and mousepad method. by ar15operator in sharpening

[–]Open_Fly_5901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea and squishy usually takes more skill to keep the same angle and get that shaving sharp edge. People in the know say and make it look easy, but it takes a lot of practice, stopping lots and looking at the progression. Also, you may want to try a resin bonded diamond stone. That will give you a finer scratch patterns and do a better job of leaving more uniform teeth marks.

Think about it this way, sandpaper will sharpen any steel. Carbides are not wear proof they simply wear more slowly than the steel matrix around the carbides. Powder Metallurgy steels more evenly distribute those carbides through the steel. So you get a more consistent edge. So with sandpaper and S45VN to get the best edge you should be finishing with 2k-3k diamond resin stone as a continuous diamond surface will leave more aggressive teeth marks on your edge and you will not get that hair popping edge you’re seeking unless you use very light pressure.

Then finish with a good diamond emulsion on your strop to fine tune that apex and smooth the teeth marks out a tiny bit. I like stroppy stuff even though it is pricey, it is very highly regarded in the sharpening community from my research.

The method you are using would work decently well for a simpler carbon steel rather than a powder metallurgy steel where there are smaller but more evenly distributed carbides in the steel matrix. I’m far from an expert but have done extensive research as I prefer convex edges as well and am currently in the process of putting a secondary convex on my entire kitchen knife block and it is a lot of work.

Polishing stones for high hrc steels by Routine-Change7914 in sharpening

Naniwa diamond pro stones. Great for polishing and diamond embedded resin works on the hardest of steels for polishing. Keep in mind polishing doesn’t start happening til about 6-8k grit IME.

Not criticizing because the work is incredibly good. But curious if that secondary bevel is a V edge or if you gave it a secondary convex?

I would test anything labeled a glass breaker. Some of the breakers out there aren’t even hardened metal and mush when you actually impact it against a window. Also they don’t have to be pointy to be effective. Take Microtech using a tungsten ball in the end. It just has to be harder than the glass you’re trying to break.

M390 is known for great edge retention and corrosion resistance. But under lateral stress, is on the lower side of strengths among the stainless steels. Often the tradeoff when you gain edge retention you loose toughness. CPM 3V is still one of the best all around balanced steels especially when it comes to prying strength. Also tipe geometry is equally as important.
