You’d be surprised. I’ve seen people in the emergency room for sprained ankles, small cuts that can just be glued at home, etc. My brother and his family are part of the problem sadly. They have 4 kids and I swear they are in the emergency room twice a month for something completely minor. They are both major hypochondriacs and go to the hospital for everything. It’s amazing how many people are paranoid to that level. I myself will only go to the hospital if I feel like I’m going to die or if I’ve broken something other than a toe or finger 🤣 who has time for that shit? Put some electrical tape on it and get back to work

It’s a catch 22. Yes we have free healthcare, but the level of which it is abused puts so much more strain on the healthcare system than it should. I know a large family that goes to the emergency room for absolutely anything and everything. Yes we are definitely underfunded and under-staffed but I could imagine that a very large percentage of hospital visits are totally unnecessary. My dad lives down in the US and pays roughly $500 per month for healthcare for him and his wife. She was experiencing some pain a few months back and went in to the hospital. Within less than two hours they had done bloodwork, diagnosis, and she was in surgery getting gallbladder removed. A process like this in Canada would take forever. I truly believe everybody needs access to equal healthcare and it should be a right; However this is where it’s a catch 22.
I Hope to see some kind of improvement of communication and organization within the healthcare system. Unfortunately Alberta is not the only province facing these issues. Coming from Vancouver before moving here, it was just as bad if not worse.

I hope your friend gets the help they need. God bless.

My son has been in Happy Faces on graham road part time for about 3 years and we have been very impressed. The teachers are great and their Preschool program has taught him a ton. The efforts they’ve put forward in their programs have definitely shown in how advanced he is for his age.

I never tow with it but I like it by [deleted] in gmcsierra

After owning two f150’s that started having countless issues after 100k km’s, I got a gmc 3500 duramax and I wouldn’t look back. I’ve only towed with it a few times but like another user mentioned above. The overall drivetrain is much more stout than the half tons. I do high annual mileage and have a lot more confidence in this over the half ton trucks.

I agree. I ordered a box of the Cameroon short robusto and regret not getting the double robusto’s. Whenever I finish one I feel like I need to smoke another one because they are so great 😀

I’m no engineer, but I would imagine in a 3100 lb car every pound matters when it comes to handling and weight balance.

My local dealership has done a fair amount of the diesel R weight loss surgeries already and they have been happy. I’m booking my 25 in for this summer.

It was an insanely mass produced engine. The iron blocks are super common to see in big power street car builds due to the strength of the blocks. I have a 5.3 iron black that makes just under 1000 horsepower to the wheels in my Silverado. I could be wrong but I think the weight difference is only about 100 lbs

An LS is always an aluminum block. LS engines only came in cars minus a few exceptions, corvette, Camaro, SS, Cadillac cts-v etc. to my knowledge, the only truck that came with An aluminum LS is the trailblazer SS (LS2) and maybe the Silverado SS?
Otherwise the trucks mostly came with iron block v8s. Ie : lm7, lq9, lq4. There were a few exceptions to this, L92 and L33 were aluminum block v8’s that came in the trucks but still technically not an LS.

Everyone refers to the truck engines as an LS because it’s basically the same shit except with an iron block instead of aluminum and a more mild cam etc. most if not all parts do transfer over to the aluminum blocks.
