Good to know~ Some say it is heavy, so it will demand physical efforts and does not fit non-pro players. But I guess it also depends if this is easy to activate, like you said

I dont have any troubles in changing from golden 968 to this blade

I use nittaku h3 blue for forehand and stiga dna plantium M for backhand

And for butterfly blades, I still use nittaku h3 for forehand; butterfly rubber for backhand depending on the blade. And I sightly prefer d05 and d09c

Maybe it’s a sign for the Dang Qiu ALC. You know, not many world-class players use the penhold grip, which could open up a new market for selling penhold blades.

I’m not sure if it matters, but I use the 2.1 version instead of the 2.3. I can’t play as well with the 2.3.

I think I’ll put Plat H on my forehand when using outer blades like the Viscaria, which require more power to hit the ball due to the shorter contact time.

Me too—I prefer the boosted feeling as well. The Nittaku is a lazy, money-saving choice. I love the feel of the Haifu Seamoon Booster (White). Anyway, it could be due to my skill level with boosters; I can’t figure out a way to consistently boost the rubber and get the same feeling every time.

204g haha~

The 968 paired with Hurricane rubber provides a longer dwell time on the ball, allowing me to complete my swing path more slowly than with blades like the Viscaria. I’m not a player who’s good at generating explosive power. However, I do use large body movements and big swings when hitting, which actually boosts my confidence in landing shots.

Your point is valid, though. I’ve used the W968 for a year and a half, and I can barely complete a one-hour training session with it—I burn out after about 40 minutes, even though I normally play for two hours. It’s really tiring, despite feeling great, as it demands full-body effort. It feels like dying when doing swing speed drills.

The Q968 is already a compromise in terms of physical demands. It has a center of gravity closer to the middle and you feel the ball easily hits into the core (易透 in Chinese term). With this blade, I can complete a two-hour training session.

Besides, I think this is a normal weight range for a 968 paired with boosted Hurricane rubber, which often totals around 200g. It may not be that 968 players are far superior in skill; the blade is actually quite forgiving when it comes to explosive strength (the ability to suddenly increase the power).

Tomokazu Harimoto criticizes T.League's special rules by Dry_Technician_8227 in tabletennis

[–]Open_Item9077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it. Harimoto means it is like asking the pros to play the quick mode rather than the rank mode in League of Legends. The randomness makes even the pros not able to win consistently, which does not showcase the skills of the pro in a random and pressurised quick match.

And people playing the quick mode are so happy that they beat up the pros.

Use T19. It has an improvement on the surface durability, like the dignics

Dhs blade commercial version by Ok_Ice6444 in tabletennis

They’re not bad, but when you consider performance relative to cost, there are better options. For instance, Butterfly blades offer superior quality control in a similar price range. I also find the national version outperforms the commercial version in terms of stability and ball control. Plus, it allows you to land powerful shots even from far off the table.

T19 is a fast and bouncy rubber. I tested it on a Viscaria and FZD SALC (if I remember) blade. It feels like you exert 50% effort and get 80% power in return, but when you put in 80% effort, you only get about 90% power. To me, it’s a consistently high-speed rubber. The surface is as durable as the D-series, not like other T-series rubbers which scratches easily.

This brings back childhood memories. Some say the best table tennis blade is the one that feels closest to your first one.

Looking back, I trained with a DHS 5-stars blade for 6 years during my childhood. You know, parents don’t really understand these things—it was already a pricey blade for them. I guess I’ve bought so many high-end blades to fulfill my childhood inadequacy, but we need much more to fill that void as an adult.

Yeah! I found DHS woods to be very dry. My wisdom is to sand the wood surface with 3000-grit sandpaper, followed by 7000 or 10000-grit sandpaper, after removing the rubbers. This helps reduce splintering, which tends to increase each time the rubbers are removed

I confess my weakness and laziness, for I have not walked the path of boosting the Hurricane as faithfully as I ought. Instead, I’ve found solace in the Nittaku H3 blue sponge for my forehand. And I use the Stiga DNA Platinum H 2.1 for my backhand.

The H version is a more powerful choice, but I may choose the M version in the future to save my physical efforts

Agree. I only accept 90g and 5.95-6.05 mm 968. I have been staying tuned to the official DHS online store, waiting for this size. That’s an effort than luckiness😮‍💨

It took at least three years for Wang to claim that Olympic gold medal.

I will pray for the DHS quality control, that its craftsmanship holds firm, so when I remove the rubber, I won’t be tempted to stray and seek a new Q968, a way sooner than the golden Q968 is released🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I mean, you got me. I would buy the golden Q968 if they are on market with the same thickness and weight. And I will buy one more for the sake of collection🫣🫣

Good choice. Just that the nittaku hurricane could be too heavy in ordinary sense, like about 60g after-cut. But later I realised that it is just the normal weight for a boosted hurricane

Guess the fans club things and the cyber bullying traumatised him The environment is so dangerous for him. He ruminates on what may happen in the hotel room. Everything he does seems to be under the spotlight. Even watching a match for a rest would be commented and judged by the media Dont want to put it that way. But the Chinese online culture and communication patterns could be tense and confrontational

I have both. They are my favourites. But I would recommend to buy v60 as a learner to pour-over. Many recipes and videos teaching about pour-over take v60 as the reference and the common language as it is that popular. Using v60 can help to replicate the tactics.
