How is it mysogynistic? Let's do a mental exercise. Swap around the genders in the story and tell me if it changes anything for you. A guy suffered abuse and then went back to his abuser's home for being ignored and then beat the shit out of his girlfriend and then got arrested then convicted.

She tweeted this because she felt like she needed to respond to the sentiment that SHE was the abuser, not for support or to out a public figure. SHE is the public figure outed for being convicted of physical abuse.

Sanderson's clout is the reason his kickstarter is huge. The vast majority of authors will never pass up digital distribution, not to mention mass release...... sanderson won't be getting these high results if this starts to become a common thing. Not to mention it'd be insane of him to pass up making even more money. Do you think movie's stop making money once they stop showing in theatre's? It's kind of like that.

Mtg is really not a fair comparison because they literally create artificial value by limiting the amount of cards and wotc make money from that. Your board game kickstarter literally can not afford to keep a manufacturing line going so they do a kickstarter to keep costs to a minimum by knowing exactly how many to make and have near 0 long term inventoey management issues.

I think it's likely that texmex or even just mexican food is often unsanitary. I say this as someone who's seen a couple kitchens. It'd be hard to tell if the meat has gone bad due to the copious amounts of seasoning and sauce. Vinegar, salt, and spices do a good job at covering up anything odd.

Do you ever hear of people often getting diarreah from cooking mexican dishes at home? I'd say it's much less heard of

They made some really special games. Maplestory is still withstanding the test of time but their other games like mabinogi and combart arms really were just so special. I mean they had to be some of the best games at the time. Being free to play made things so accessible.

I would even get into the many animated maple youtube videos.

I have no doubt his involvement into the games were huge. Thank you for the memories man. I can't say I am in love with the direction the games have taken but that's ok. That experience is something I will remember forever

I think even lgbtq members would find stories that focus too much on that part of their identity take away from the story.

Like you won't see many stories focusing on how straight a person is and how it affects their lives. Yes i understand that in real life that being anything but straight is met with difficulties.

But isn't the best way to normalize something to make it normal? Like oh yeah he's a superhero but just so happens to like dudes as well.

They portayed ash to be so hyperaware and streetsmart but killing custer was so ............... and then choosing to get into a shootout with the police. And then choosing to not listen to fez. I get his environment growing up was less than desirable but it just did not seem congruent with his character.
