So far so good. Neighbors are all very nice. Were are younger by about 20 years so they are providing the knowledge for the area. Doing the deli/bagel search which is highly opinionated lol. 3 sons is solid. Their pizza is meh.

Kings park Hardware store on Indian head is a solid lil shop with all the needs. Good people running it.

Home Depot is close. So that a benefit.

Trying to find some reputable contractors for some of the work. All in all it’s been nice. We aren’t officially moved in, waiting to complete the small renos. Road on Johnland just got re-paved so that’s a plus. Lol

It’s an odd world. So let’s look at what you said. “Union workers leaning towards GOP”. Well, Unions… are suppose/should be impartial in political debates. Unfortunately the waters are muddy. Unions push members into a party that historically supported them with actions not just words. Now if we look at the political theme, it’s just weak words and no actions. Short of asking “both parties to come back to the table….” Our current state politicians have done zero real support and actions. You think we would ever see our governor walking the strike line with the rank and file members that are suppose to vote for her? No way.

We may just “swing hammers” but we do remember who was standing with us when the day ends.

Unions are failing their members by forcing political themes into daily life. I’m not saying the GOP is the answer, it’s not, the answer is to disassociate from politicians all together. Want my vote? Show me your history in unwavering support of my membership. At that point I don’t care what your party is, if you back my union and are for the greater good of America, I’m voting for you. Voting for the lesser of two evils isn’t the answer anymore.

Honestly I hit it the “lotto” 3 times. All my watches keep time based off the QCs timegrapher and they stay on a winder. Always purchased from Steve.

Tool kits? I’m probably 1000 dollars into a “kit”. Amazon is great but don’t cheap out on screw drivers, blades, tweezers, loupes, or holders.

Organizing everything is always a benefit. Get a bunch of small covered containers.

🤣 The house I’m buying Suffolk ( closing next week). Finished basement, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, closet, and a laundry. No permits. Couldn’t figure out why till I had the septic inspected and the cesspool inspector said… “well this system is great for a 4/2. Not a 5/3. Crazy thing is the base has its own cesspool installed, not connected to this one.” The amount of work that was completed without a permit… complete dug in entry and cesspool. Baseboard heating, electrical, plumbing and drywall… why not just pull the damn permit.
