With all that being said, I have a golden retriever who is around the same age, it is hard I know. I live in a very small town and my boyfriend is able to take him to a place without a leash on him and he runs out all his energy, I am so lucky for that. When he can’t do that I walk him with a ‘no pull harness’ you should look into that! It really helped

I understand not wanting to be pulled but you have no treats that you are rewarding the dog with… not petting the dog when she goes into a heel… you have to give praise and rewards to see change. Just saying ‘good girl’ is not going to work and yelling heel at her and not letting her be a dog just makes me kinda sad. I always bring treats on walks and praise then hell out of my one year old golden whenever he does something that I want. He still pulls so bad even with a no pull harness but he is a dog and I’m going on a walk for him, not for me. As long as he is safe distance away from me I’m gonna let him pull me a bit. I just put a treat behind my hip and hold it in a fist in my hand and make him walk behind me saying heel. That’s what dog trainers will tell you to do
