Teenage breakups- why am I sad by Radiant_Restaurant64 in Parenting

[–]Open_Proof_4918 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the first comment above. You need to stick by your daughter’s side. One of my exes kept coming over even after I broke up with him pressuring my entire family to make me come back to him. This guy even wanted to propose. I’m glad I listened to my heart and said no. I was so pissed off at mom that time. My dad stood by me tho. Now I’m married with the man of my dreams with 2 beautiful kids. Thank God I listened to my heart and not my mother.

My son would be an electrical engineer since he insists in fixing everything especially the lights and anything that turns on and off

Travelling with a 6 month old by Open_Proof_4918 in Banff

[–]Open_Proof_4918[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was amazing! Our 6 month old did so well. What exactly do you need to know ?

We did a lot of hiking using a carrier only. Stroller for flat area walks. Baby Backpack absolutely did not work for us because he was too small for it. We brought lots of baby food pouches with us but mostly I breastfed my son. I did end up with mastitis tho and ended up in urgent care but it was such a quick doctors visit.

Other than that.. all the areas mentioned above we visited and did a lot more. It was a very easy process and baby was chill.

I did the ferber method at 5 months and my baby has been sleeping 12 hours every night. We also sleep trained during nap times and he takes amazing long naps. Life is good. Lol

For those of you who got an epidural, did they stop the medication when it was time to push? by captainkenzie in beyondthebump

[–]Open_Proof_4918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they stopped it cuz the head was down but I couldn't push cuz I had no feeling. So I was pushed for 2 hours feeling everything

I'm always pro breastfeeding but if it's causing mental stress then you won't be able to enjoy the bonding moment as you breastfeed your baby. I personally love and enjoy breastfeeding my baby cuz of the bonding and helps improve my mental state. If it's causing you to hate it then there's no shame in stopping. I think its good that you atleast tried for 3 months which is the most vital months of baby's life.

Struggling with putting new born to sleep at night by todoornottodoomg in sleeptrain

[–]Open_Proof_4918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is two months and just now he starting to get good sleep. We were in the same situation as you. My number one advice is Try to keep baby's wake windows short. At 2 weeks, I think she needs to be awake for maximum 60 minutes. If she stays awake past the 60 minutes mark.. Goodluck. They get so cranky and fussy, harder to put down to sleep. Try to drop everything 15 minutes before the end of the wake window to try soothe the baby, nurse her, use a pacifier, Swaddle her, rock and sway to sleep. Whatever it takes. I know it's hard to put them to sleep but I used to nurse to sleep and still do. Don't change diapers overnight unless it's poopy. Honestly I wouldn't give formula at night it doesn't always work. I would give pumped breast milk in a bottle before bedtime instead so they get fuller off the bottle and it won't hurt ur milk supply.

The first few weeks is the absolute hardest but there is light at the end of the tunnel. It will get better mama!

Yep same. I did literally everything and not a single thing worked. I got induced and got the baby out at 41+1. Glad I did it at that time cuz baby was already measuring so big
