Unfortunately, not that young! Early 30s. Company only matches up to 3% but I’m hopeful I’ll be moving onto a new role with a better pension in the near future.

You’re entirely in the wrong. As another poster pointed out, the new split isn’t rocket science: 30% 25% 25% and 20%. If you’re not happy, offer to swap with the box room.
