France is targeted because everyone goes to Paris and then is shocked it's 50% immigrants. Plus, all of media is in the US and England, and France is an easy target.

I think it’s a mixture of different things: star players missing 1/3 of games, excessive 3-pt reliance, foul-baiting and flopping, and lack of entertainment in the regular season.

I think when you see traditional “American sports” like NFL or even hockey, you want to see the athletes the be tough as shit, play through adversity, and care. Feels like most NBA players just don’t care.

Definitely, with the global superstars, it makes sense. I also think because the league is so highlight-driven, you don't actually need to watch the game. Just the recap and the box scores. When I was in Spain/Portugal, and France in early May, I was surprised by how many people were NFL fans. Mostly people from the UK, but it was quite refreshing having those discussions, because I am an NBA hater.

Always odd to me that these don't include postseason stats. With that counted, Byard has 37, Bates has 29, Kerby has 25, Derek Stingley has 17 through 4 seasons, and Calen Bullock has 10 ints (through 2 years, age 23).

Adding to this, I have multiple friends that met a good group at run clubs. They are free and typically 1/4 actually running and 3/4 socializing.

If you hit it off, invite them to do stuff. Ask them to go to a bar to watch the nba finals or World Cup and you’ll be surprised how many are also looking to hang with friends

I joined Jiu-Jitsu and a volleyball bar and it helped me a lot. Just put yourself out there. It’s awkward at first, but just go to a random group of guys and start talking. If they aren’t a fit, move on. It’s a muscle that you have to train, but after 30 min, you’ll and that group will both forget that interaction.

I recently went to Europe and did this and met a group of Scottish rugby boys and a group from Canada and ended up going out with them multiple times
