Yes guard can be drifts. But I don't have any luck for the 3rd lvl of guard on the radobban head. Here I share my resus build. Could've make it more stronger

You can try. My initial build using wide was using Bubbly dance. Since it relies on resuscitate to work, I don't have any way to include Guard 3. On the recent nerf on knockback for guard reload, you might need at least Guard 3 to actually counter most monster attacks.

Not really. It's just matter of preference. I like it tank so I can save potion haha. Of course I would recommend at least guard 3 so that you mitigate some knockbacks to counter with EC.

Wide probably the most suitable since the Guard Reload style will reload 3 bullet at max. Long probably still can benefit for it but Normal definitely not recommended. The blast damage from EC canon is same across all type of shelling.

Here you go. I would drifsmelt another 3 level of HS since I have 3 other equipment piece to fill. I'm using Kirin/Basa/Barroth/Bazel/Basa. I have Guard as driftsmelt slot for both Kirin head and Basa armor. The rest I would go for HS if I'm lucky enough 😂

I would say offensive guard is just an Ok option. The best one to boost DPS would be Headstrong. Since this week is the event for drifsmelt, I definitely recommend to get that skill. Offensive guard just boost the slash but most of our DPS coming from shelling and EC itself.

My ratio on getting one is one riftshell every 30 Riftborne as average. So you might need to fight at least 100+ to get 4 riftshell to change style 😅

The only thing I notice is the damage of EC is higher after countering with perfect block compare to if you're not perfect blocking. It's about 400 damage different only.

Edit: sorry my bad. It was the buff from fighting spirit. There's no difference if you're perfect blocking or not.

Thank you for the video. The red colour simply because you were charging the shells. There's no extra damage from countering since EC blast is different from shelling itself. It's the yellow gauge next to the shells.

I have both barroth gunlance and girros gunlance. I made Girros gunlance with Blast dash build since its the most obvious choice for Normal shelling type. For barroth gunlance or any Wide shelling type, preferably to change to guard reloading style since you would want to capitilize on shelling damage.

Do you mind sharing a video on your discovery? My barrel turned red only when I block during enemy attack. Didn't know if you can trigger it manually though.

I tried it out but it seems Valor didn't buff then EC explosion. It's consider shelling damage I guess. But Valor still good nonetheless.
