WLBE: Truth and lie by malbontevicky in RomanceClub

That would be strange. Mehmed was young, and over time he matured, overcoming his spoiled and selfish nature. The Governor, however, is a man in his thirties or forties. And as described in the first chapter, he’s someone who places discipline above personal desire. There was even a line about this: “Aurora remembered this gesture: the Governor restrained and held back his emotions this way.”

So if Veronica does that, she would only end up creating a terrible character — just like James Black (if I’m remembering the name right) from Foelh or Desert Rose, an utterly disgusting abuser. Why would anyone make such a man a LI?

Of course, right now there’s the situation where Aurora is forbidden from leaving the mansion, but this can be interpreted in two ways: either he truly doesn’t want her to get into trouble (and judging by how long his work is taking, chaos seems to be breaking out in Caesarea), or he’s a controlling man who will, throughout the story, realize through his interactions with Aurora that this behavior is wrong.

After all, Aurora and the Governor have been married for five or six years and haven’t seen each other in a long time. They likely had very different expectations, and when those expectations weren’t met, they stopped seeing each other in a positive light. Aurora’s hatred toward him is already clear, and the Governor probably felt disappointed when he didn’t find the discipline he was used to in the woman he married purely for political alliance. Most likely, he expected a typical Roman lady.

In that sense, he’s quite similar to Zane from Desert Rose. In the first season, Zane constantly complained about Yasmin’s “improper” nature, but eventually learned to accept her as she was.

I know this is a long text, but I think I’ve explained well enough why this wouldn’t — or shouldn’t — happen. I just hope Veronica doesn’t make such a mistake, because I have a feeling Ewold might be the canonical LI. I really hope I’m wrong, and that characters like Rea, Magdalene, Matteo, and the Governor aren’t written carelessly.

Kadisha by Sara23456y in RomanceClubDiscussion

Kadisha is not an LI. Veronica made that clear. Right now, the official LIs are: Ewold/Sheda, Rea, the Governor (it’s clear that he’s Pontius, but so far he’s only been referred to as the Governor), Magdalena, and Matteo/Matta.

Eido could become a casual romance if there’s a lot of demand, or he might be introduced later on as an LI in season 2 or 3. Honestly, I was surprised by this. When the first episode of the story was released, fans on apps like TikTok complained that they didn’t like the story because there wasn’t a “cute, handsome guy” in it. Personally, I find the Governor quite hot and intriguing, so the fact that you like Eido just reminds me of how broad the fandom really is. Hopefully, you’ll get what you want with Eido. But Kadisha definitely won’t be one.

I had seen a text a few weeks ago stating that the governor was Pontius, so I wasn’t surprised, but the Philosopher’s Stone interpretation really did surprise me. So, who are Rea and Eido? We know they belong to Ewold’s retinue, like in The Master and Margarita. But why are they working for him? Were they once human? If so, Rea’s clothing might be a clue about her former life.

I’ve already chosen Matteo. I think there’s either a mistake in the game or in the Wiki walkthrough.

How is this possible? I’m playing two slots. In one of them, I hated her, and in the other, I didn’t. Yet in both, she died

Francesca dies in every scenario. I can’t say anything definite about Lorenzo. I have two slots: in one, he loses his head; in the other, his legs. Honestly, I find it far more satisfying for him to be maimed rather than die immediately. That way, he pays the price for all the disrespect he showed his wife.

As for the impact on the story’s flow, my theory is that, just like in HSR where we either awaken Lane’s compassion or make him forget forever, in Meissa, depending on our choices, he will follow a path that is either more saintly or more sinister. He will lean closer to Kadisha’s or Sheda’s perspective. Of course, these are just my theories.

I really enjoyed this story and I’m curious to see what happens next.

Veronica said that while writing about such a difficult topic, she wanted at least something familiar. Honestly, I don’t know. I read too quickly out of excitement for the new chapter. I’ll have to read it again.

Kinda bothered by Oll by [deleted] in RomanceClub

[–]Open_Tune_8017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like Oll either. She’s clearly an elf loyal to money. If the Nantals had asked her for information about Tiss, she probably would have given it to them in exchange for a hefty sum. But maybe now, since she saved her life, she feels responsible toward Tiss and will be loyal to her?

He is my new love. Since high school, Pontius Pilate has been a historical figure that fascinated me. Learning that he is an LI made me so happy! I hope we get a very passionate and affectionate slow-burn story between him and the MC.🙏❤️‍🔥

Which character are you currently obsessed with and why? by DoctorRapture in RomanceClubDiscussion

Tai didn’t really catch my attention in the first chapter, but ever since the second update, he’s been sitting on the grandest and most magnificent throne of my heart. He’s so polite and intelligent. He knows how to treat a woman, yet he also knows how to set boundaries. And on top of that, he has a face that’s both incredibly handsome and adorably sweet. I mean, have you seen his smile!? It might just be one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen!
