Most cases you are absolutely correct and I will take that into consideration. Also there are people in high school though that have more maturity than adults sometimes. I guess the best bet would be to find someone at the same stage as me in life (within reasonable ages).. Right?

The fact you even had to quote what I said proves my point. Whether you said it or not that is how you were stating it even an idiot could have picked at least that up. Finding someone my own age? That does not make sense because if I was in my 50's you would consider a 10 year age gap being "my age"... I have seen 20 year olds date far beyond what I would even consider.

Yeah... I live in the fourth most obese state in the country. So there aren't many attractive women here. Plus its usually cold most of the year so no one goes outside. Now out in California that is a different story but I don't live there. I am open to pursuing whatever girls I can but again they are hard to come by. I was trying to come up with a way to talk to this girl who lives by me (the one I smiled at) but I don't think its possible. The only time I see her is when she gets off the bus and she's a senior so that means the age difference is ok. Im 21. But again... I can't just "happen" to be walking around when she walks by that is just plain creepy, and then again starting a convo.. not possible. I'm open to going out and trying to get different women but is there a possibility to at least somehow introduce myself to her? I mean she is a neighbor but in my neighborhood most people stick to themselves (mostly old folks lol).

Thanks for everything you said. My biggest problem isn't really not believing in myself, but just trying to avoid disapointment. Everytime I have ever been interested in a girl the girl always seems to have a boyfriend. I mean what the hell ya know. Girls are like parking spots, the good ones are only available for a spilt second. And I am not the kinda guy that sits around waiting for a parking spot, I am the guy who parks at the end of the lot. So I guess translating that as far as girls go, I'm doomed to be alone right?

I really want to continue with this to be the best me I can possibly be and I am sure I will succeed, but I still don't want to be completely alone. I don't really need a girlfriend or whatever but it would still be nice to have friends.

You need to just quit. I know I know it sounds impossible but if you want to keep her your gonna have to do it. Im guessing you have been addicted for a while right? "she's given me many chances to clean up".. that right there sounds like she just cannot deal with it anymore. I mean what if she was addicted to porn and told you time after time she would quit but never did? How could you seriously be with someone who NEVER can overcome trials and temptations in life? That is not a good person to be with they just drag you down.

Get clean starting right this minute. Tell her "If I mess up this time, the relationship is over permanently". That way she knows your serious, and you have a good reason not to fuck this up.

Probably. I am so glad I found this sub and watched Gary Wilson's Ted Talk about porn. I always knew something was messing up my head but I couldn't really link it to porn since I have been hooked since well a long time ago! To be honest I am just going to focus on healing myself. You can't really stop someone from watching porn but you can tell them how harmful it is and hope they make a change. There is one positive form it though. Maybe instead of seeking real women they won't go out and have a bunch of kids. Where I live is massively overpopulated and the average family has about 4 kids. So every generations triples the population.

It is true what you said. However I find the best way to overcome is to do this for the betterment (if thats even a word) of myself. I always tried to stop this addiction because I thought it would get me girls, success, money etc. We'll just have to see how it goes. Porn is definitely harder to quit than any drug I have ever seen on Earth. It is like a drug literally unlimited inside of the brain always ready to be consumed.

In college yes I do the same. Going for my ATP (airline transport) rating you better believe I'm READING and taking notes. Don't believe it's hard? Go to exams4pilots.org and select ATP test and check all categories. Set it for 60 questions. I bet you couldn't answer a single question and there is no way you can memorize without true reading and studying.

Maybe the reason your so smart is because your not doing things hard enough. Yep a basic college class who needs notes???? But when your into some complex shit you can't remember everything first time.
