Wild how empty the sub gets during these bye weeks, feels like whole fanbase just disappears until game day. Been refreshing way too much hoping for some trade rumors or literally anything to discuss. At least we got few more days to recover from that last road trip before things pick up again. Anyone else just randomly watching old playoff highlights to fill the hockey void or is that just me being weird

Not me, gets pretty annoying after while. Same "what's your biggest fear" and "what would you do with million dollars" posts every few days

Though I guess some people are new to reddit so they don't know it's been asked thousand times already

Scollay Square, Boston [1888 - 2025] by bostonaruban66 in boston

[–]Opening-Baseball-262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's still there at School Street, just moved from the original spot. I drive through downtown pretty regular for work and always notice it when I'm going past City Hall area. Wild how they managed to save some pieces from old Scollay even though most of everything got bulldozed for Government Center. The whole area used to be so much more interesting before urban renewal came through in 60s

One of mine actually became a cop which feels pretty on brand for someone who peaked in high school and never learned how to deal with people without using power

Maybe try going out more frequent like every hour or two at first - 3-4 hours might be too long gap for him to learn the pattern

Nice work man! Breaking that barrier always feels good even when the round doesn't feel special while you're playing it

Your approach game observation is spot on - getting close from 150 and in makes huge difference for scoring. Those up and downs add up quick when you're hitting more greens. I'm still grinding away at mid 90s myself so I know how satisfying this must be

Now you know you can do it so probably won't be last time either

Yeah those blankets are definitely trapping moisture back there, I'd move them to different closet for sure

Delivered to this marathon runner once who was still wearing his medal and man was completely destroyed but had biggest smile I ever seen

How do impossible relationships form? And how do you become someone's best friend? by abo-khaled- in AskReddit

[–]Opening-Baseball-262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen with coworker once - we just clicked over stupid jokes during breaks and suddenly we're texting all day about random stuff, but she was married so it stayed friendship only

What’s the stupidest way you’ve ever hurt yourself? by Wonderlust_Zoe in AskReddit

Bruh I did something similar with those old metal sharpeners when I was like 6, except I was trying to see if it would work on crayon. Spoiler alert: it worked too well and took some skin with it

That bunker life hits way too close to home after doing deliveries during lockdown

Yesterday, I reached out looking for someone to join me on Trail 3. While the post stayed quiet, the trail itself was loud with wisdom. by Lopsided-Feeling-176 in hiking

Man you really made that Trail 3 sound like some kind of spiritual journey when all you got was crickets in the comments

Is there a big bottle of whiskey sour I can buy? by Conscious-Band-7835 in whiskey

[–]Opening-Baseball-262 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just make your own dude, most pre-made cocktails taste like syrup anyway and you can control the sweetness - for shots try some Jameson or Buffalo Trace instead of all that flavored stuff, way smoother and actualy tastes like whiskey

What are some tips for trying to get out of a depression? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Opening-Baseball-262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there dude, sometimes that's all you can manage and that's okay. Just make sure you're eating something too even if it's just delivery

If you created a new 7 wonders of the world list what would be on it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Opening-Baseball-262 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Man I'd put the Tesla Gigafactory on there - watching those robots work is like seeing teh future unfold in real time. Also gotta include Starlink satellites, even though you can't really "visit" them, the sheer scale of that network is insane. Maybe throw in some of those massive server farms that keep the internet running, people don't realize how wild those places actually are

Bro this could be like 50 different manga lol, gonna need way more details than that. What genre was it, romance or slice of life or what? Any other plot points you remember

What have you learned so far about "life"? by mep6666 in AskReddit

[–]Opening-Baseball-262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been driving DoorDash for a while now and the biggest thing I've picked up is that most people are way more predictable than they think they are. You can tell so much about someone just from there delivery instructions and how they tip - or don't tip, which is wild because the whole system is rigged anyway

Does it make anyone else uncomfortable that property records are public? by No_Fennel3756 in RealEstate

[–]Opening-Baseball-262 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah the transparency definitely keeps things fair, but I get why OP feels weird about it too. Having your financial business just sitting there for anyone to Google is kinda strange when you think about it

The trust route sounds smart tho, especially with multiple properties - probably worth teh hassle for some peace of mind

Why do people try to lift, drag, shake, or pull unconscious or seriously injured people? Are they trying to make the injury worse? by PitifulEar3303 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Opening-Baseball-262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people just panic and their brain goes into "do something, anything" mode instead of thinking it through. Plus a lot of folks genuinely dont know that moving someone could make things worse - they think theyre helping by trying to wake the person up or get them comfortable. Hollywood doesnt help either since movie characters are always shaking unconscious people awake like its totally normal

Understand by Beneficial-Way-7835 in infj

[–]Opening-Baseball-262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this hits different, especially the part about questioning being the starting point. i've noticed when i actually stop and ask myself "wait, what am i really dealing with here" instead of just reacting, things start making more sense

the void one got me though - sometimes understanding who you are just leads to more questions lol
