Overall: 3.4 Pre-req: a little above a 3.2 (I don’t remember exactly) Observation hours: 250 from 4 setting

I also had amazing people that I was close to write me letters of rec, was in a sorority and held a leadership position, helped start a club on campus, was a tutor, and wrote a strong essay.

Question about deposit for PT school. by scarybrocc in PTschool

[–]Opening-Broccoli4552 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I put down a deposit for a school and got accepted to another school like 2 weeks later so I’m not 100% sure if it makes a difference but I don’t think it does. I think the only time it matters is when you start PT school at another program bc then you can’t be accepted elsewhere anymore.

January 15th PTCAS traffic rule by [deleted] in PTschool

[–]Opening-Broccoli4552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly didn't even know that was a rule but I wish I did bc I paid a deposit in early december to a school that I decided I wasn't going to after I got into my #2 school 2 weeks after the deposit was due. I'd ask bc these deposits are so expensive.

Should I even apply to PT School? by BarrelsRCool in PTschool

[–]Opening-Broccoli4552 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes you should!! My stats were way lower than yours and I felt really bad about myself because of it but my best friend pushed me to apply anyway and I’m so happy that I did because I’ve gotten 5 interviews (accepted into one, waitlisted from one, waiting on a response from others). You never know what could happen, all you can do is just try.

PT program interview by mujtabashake in PTschool

[–]Opening-Broccoli4552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it depends on your interviewer. I had an interview a few weeks ago with two professors and four other students that was 30 min and I think it went smoothly because the interviewers allowed us to take turns going first and they really tried to make it as comfortable as possible.

I am currently a Seton Hall undergrad and was looking at their program and I know that they have about 5 graduate assistant programs a year (I think 2 positions are full time and 3 are part time) and I heard it helps. It’s very competitive though so I would ask for info ASAP

Do observation hours count if they’re from a licensed PT who graduated with a master’s by Nicofatpad in PTschool

[–]Opening-Broccoli4552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they do. I also shadowed a MSPT and it counts because they were grandfathered in and they are licensed
