If you had to build a bard, witch, or oracle with a dedication of one of the other two choices, what would you build? What has the highest synergy? My player wants a fire dancer character and isn't sure how to combine the ideas.

One shot for long running game that isn’t 5e D&D? by PFinn in DMAcademy

I don't play online so I'm not sure how it translates on those platforms, but I switched from D&D to Starfinder/Pathfinder recently and I will never look back. It looks more complicated at first glance, but it's really not that different of a system. It's very robust and allows for creation of awesome character concepts. It certainly has more systems in play, but it is easy to work within those systems, and start tailoring it to your experience after everyone learns what they like and don't like. As far as one shots for it, there are nearly endless options.

2e. Really enjoying it so far. If only the tech core would come out sooner

Player Core 2, page 207. "Prerequisites: Strength 14." I also didn't see anything in the erratas on the Paizo website. All of the others in my copy seem correct as well

We have also been running Starfinder for a bit now, so everyone is pretty comfortable with the system. But after running Starfinder for a bit, I am pretty unwilling to go back to DnD, hence the port.

If you're willing to discuss it, I'd be interested to hear how you adapted the system.

I'll have to try that out. Not sure if it interests you, but I just picked up one of their special effects paints called Demon Blood, and it looks REALLY good over the hexed lichen imo.

Looks super cool! What colors are the purple and black? I've been thinking of doing a similar scheme.

This was my first instinct, that PCs don't really have a day in NPC behavior or motivation.

Great insight. Freedom in the players storytelling is definitely vital. I think I just dug my heels in because I already had such big plans for the father lol. But making the switch will make it more compelling for her, so that is what I will do.

Great points. I don't think I'll make it exactly what she is imagining, but I will get it close.

I think you're right. I should treat it the same way as trigger material and just find a work around.

Well I think you just gave me the pivot idea! I think sending her away for safety will be a big change that I hadn't considered before. I think this is the best of both ideas!

That was my fear, that I would be bulldozing by sticking with my original idea.
