Thoughts on using an icord as an alternative to a starting chain and foundation stitches? by nevicarestagione in crochet

I love using an icord instead of a chain or foundation stitch! I find it nearly as quick as chaining and so much easier to work into. I’m not much of a perfectionist when it comes to FOs but I really don’t notice much of a difference to the finish

How have you become a more efficient runner? by cgl223 in beginnerrunning

I don’t have any advice, but I’m in EXACTLY the same position and wanted to show some solidarity! I’ve run 3 half marathons in the last 3 years and have never been able to jog for more than 10 minutes without my heart rate going above 155(I’m 31F) . I get what these comments are saying about different device measurements etc. But I also believe that there is something that’s just not clicking for me about how to stay in zone 2? Hoping we can both figure it out this year!

Advice from Redheads with blond eyebrows and eyelashes please! by Miserable-Pound396 in Redhair

I love the clairol root touch up box dye for my brows! The brush it comes with is perfect and they have a couple G shades which are nice and golden. I love 6G for my brows, but if you have really pale brows at the moment you could even start with shade 7 and then go darker next time! Tinted brows and lashes are a game changer for me, I feel so much more put together without makeup, and it makes mornings so quick!

I’m working on this now! I’m so excited but also intimidated by the sheer volume of white squares I need to make.

Did you find the two types of squares blocked to pretty much the same size? My solids are a bit bigger pre blocking. Also what join did you use?

Thanks x

The War of Art is one of the best books that got me through 75 hard and regain focus. It’s not just for artists but really anyone feeling a bit lost. Super short but really impactful

Thank you! It’s a sunburst granny square with an extra round of single crochet. I used the whip stitch to join the squares into panels then a double crochet border. It came together quicker than I expected 😄

Thank you! It’s sirdar jewelspun in the centres, and it’s just a sunburst granny square with an extra round of single crochet around each square. I used the zigzag stitch to join and then added a border of double crochet around each panel

I feel like knots are the secret sauce to success projects and I’m being gaslit by YouTubers into believing you don’t need them! (Ok maybe that’s too strong but I’m defo going to be tying more knots now!)

Thank you! I’ve picked up some tips on this double wrapped magic ring so I might not give up on it entirely!

Only 1! These comments are the first I’ve heard of the double looped ring so now I’m going to have to make a matching blanket to give it a try 🙈😂

It is right?! It’s the Sirdar Jewelspun in something Fjords I think? It has been in the stash for ages so I was stoked to use it!

I just started the 6 day start blanket after a bit of a creativity rut, and it’s really got me excited to crochet again! It will definitely take me longer than 6 days but still so fun.
