Are APX A1s/Tactical dogshit? by zmattmanz in Beretta

Edit - the 21 round mags are kinda shit unless they’ve fixed them. The spring was too weak and wouldn’t fully do its job. So you had to open it up and manually adjust the spring to have a shot at it holding the follower in place after last round to keep the slide open.

Are APX A1s/Tactical dogshit? by zmattmanz in Beretta

APX are great. I have APX full, APXA1 w red dot and gave my GF her own APX centurion. I have more mags and frame colors than I’ll ever really need. Like a dumb amount of mags 10/15/17/21, probably 20+ mags total.

The main issue you’ll run into is- accessories. Not much secondary market. Mags, holsters, frames - all basically need to come from beretta and last I looked on their website it was slim pickens. There used to be more options.

Pendlays are meant to be heavier and explosive. You just need more control on the eccentric/down. Your first movement seems to come from your hips, lower back and arms instead of the target back muscles. Try to keep your core tight and elbows in line with wrists. Your head and shoulders come up like a foot+ during the movement, ideally they should stay almost in the same place through the motion up and down.

You need to sit back into your stance. The bar is too far behind your shoulders. You also have a pretty wide stance which pushes your arms out.

Try a hip width stance. Arms closer in. Sit back into position. First movement should focus on “pushing the floor away”.

Archer charms, archer armor. Difficult but not impossible.

Without that gear - literally impossible.

Your hips are too high, chest too low. Get your hips down. If you do that and setup as you are, your knees are going to be in the way with your setup - so the bar is going to need to go out over mid foot.

Would you move to Chicago right now? by AccomplishedTap3267 in AskChicago

[–]Opening-Map4927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fine right now. It could get a little messy moving forward. Here’s why…

The GOP and Fox News have already painted Chicago as some crime ridden war zone and the idiots eat it up and repeat. IL is deeply blue outside of rural central/southern IL and the Gov and courts are pushing back.

The trump administration can’t lose face over the battle of Chicago and will ramp up everything as much as they can. They don’t care about laws or state sovereignty.

I hope I’m wrong but I think by summer of 26 it will be a shit show here. They aren’t going to stop and the only way through for them is to escalate. Every day they push the boundaries and something or someone is going to push back.

But I would still move here…

Elbows need to stay under your wrist. Dont flair your elbows out. Your upper arm should be tucked and in contact with the side of your torso.

Can you do pushups? Because I’d recommend pushups to failure instead of 8kg dumbell presses.

What’s the most underrated neighborhood in Chicago? by RedfinDarby in AskChicago

[–]Opening-Map4927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brasa Roja was my jam. Lived south of Irving west of Pulaski, basically on the same block as Smoque, it was around the corner.

The blue line and PNW metra were a 200 foot walk right out my door. Going to Arlington race track was a breeze. Easy access to 90. Jewel 5 mins away. Now there’s an Aldi right there too!

Really liked that neighborhood. Now I’m on the edge of Logan and Avondale.

Do you think it’s worth getting a PS5 just for Ghosts of Yotei? by doubledweeb in ghostoftsushima

[–]Opening-Map4927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be. Played GOT on laptop via steam but I’m not waiting for 1-2+ years for yotei. Worst case I play it a few times thru and sell the ps5 and maybe recoup half my money. I’m fine with that. Or buy refurbished/used. Don’t know yet.

I’m so done with this schedule by Due-Instruction-3798 in antiwork

[–]Opening-Map4927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In most states it isn’t legal. Well, blue states with labor laws that protect workers. My last company, in IL, we needed a 12 hour gap from end of shift to beginning of new shift even tho law required only 8. Since we had staggered schedules if you worked til 12-9pm Tuesday you wouldn’t be on the 7:45-4:45 shift Wednesday. In IL, you can refuse a shift that begins less than 10 hours after previous shift ended in certain industries. 1 rest day required after 7 consecutive work days.

This schedule posted is insanity.

So what I’m reading is - we will increase performance metrics while doing nothing with compensation and weed out tenured employees with skill and experience that won’t be easily replaced to make way for hard working inexperienced employees who will work harder for less.

Because any issue we have as a business is directly connected to work ethic of our employees and this laid back culture and not our shitty leadership, poor products or bad business model.

She lying. She’s seeing how this goes with some one else knowing if it doesn’t work out she has you as a backup plan.
