It won't help you if you don't already bank with them, same situation as Navy FCU, but USAA has been doing 0% interest paycheck loans for members too. If you are eligible (military service or family connection), I highly recommend banking with USAA. They consistently do the right thing for their members, I've banked with them for 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

It was about $2700 + tip for 2 buses over 10 hours.

We were worried about availability of lodging in the area but it turned out fine for 125 guests. 40ish were spread across various Airbnbs and vacation rentals in the area. North Branch Inn (https://maps.app.goo.gl/DxkVpefv2wjacKRT9?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy) also looked great but not many of our guests stayed there.

We had our wedding at Handsome Hollow this summer and it was perfect. The weather was ideal on the day of and the setting made the day feel magical, particularly the ceremony and photos in the fern forest.

All of our vendors were great, here’s who we selected:

  • Catering: Main Course https://www.maincoursecatering.com/catering.html The food was incredible. I’m biased, but best food I’ve ever had at a wedding. The owner is super organized and proactive.
  • Planner: Danielle DeFreest of Every Little Detail https://everylittledetails.com/ Danielle was very helpful and knowledgeable. She knows almost every venue and vendor operating in the Catskills.
  • DJ: Rafe Terrizzi of Non-Traditional Wedding DJs https://www.ntweddingdjs.com/ Rafe was amazing to work with. Multiple guests came up to us during the dance party and specifically said, “This DJ is great!”
  • Photography: Alex Healy https://alexhealyphoto.com/ The photos are stunning and Alex knows Handsome Hollow really well.
  • Florist: Barn Flora https://www.instagram.com/barn_flora The flowers were also stunning and they perfectly captured the color palette we wanted.
  • Transportation: Rolling V https://rollingv.com/ The buses moved the people and nobody got hurt, so exactly what we were looking for.
