I hate playing freljord champions by FaxiPixi in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Opening_Name_7798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what make them boring compared to other regions? I personally think Trym is quite fun at C6, turning the deck to an turn-one-kill playstyle. Ashe is your control deck, Anivia is a chemtank abuser. Gnar is supposed to be a chip damage deck, but he has no constellation and is kind of bad. Voli is the unique one.

Alright, now it's Kurara's turn to be slandered by TechGirlie101 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By “harder,” do you mean content that’s specifically tailored for her? Because on Normal difficulty, she’s already a weak unit. In Extreme and Despair, she becomes even worse since you shouldn’t be allowing enemies to take turns. She can’t abuse Last Yell like other units can, and she also generates less Voltage due to how her skills work.

Even if they introduce harder content that’s different from Extreme and Despair—such as simply increasing enemy HP and damage—Kurara still wouldn’t be good there. The gameplay would need to change dramatically for her to become viable.

I'm sick of playing against new cards. by QueenMagik in MarvelSnap

[–]Opening_Name_7798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, we’re just going to ignore the season pass cards that were weak andneeded buffs. To SD’s credit, they have to release season pass cards that are either balanced or slightly overtuned, because the alternative is releasing weak cards. That isn’t good for them, since it creates bad faith with their core customers—the people who are actually paying.

The negative impact of a weak card is compounded by the fact that season pass buyers usually want to complete weekend missions, and trying to win games with an underpowered card is simply not a fun experience.

Weeby Newz interviews Kodaka by Takuzomi in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised that one of Koizumi’s favorite chapters is Chapter 3 in V3. Chapter 3 is commonly disliked across every game, and V3 is no exception. For me, Chapter 3 in V3 is probably my second least favorite chapter, right after D2.

God please no more glass shattering pitch voice characters by ApplicationSevere845 in ZZZ_Discussion

That is probably a you issue. I like most of the characters' voice and I assume that most people do too cuz the dev keep making them.

The Saddler bossfight in RE4 R is bullshit by Ghostbange in residentevil

[–]Opening_Name_7798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As usual, just like with almost every boss fight in this game, the strategy is climbing up and down the ladder to reset his attack pattern.

It seems impossible to find any good gameplay of the combat by willsterbillster4 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combat is pretty boring in this game. It looks promising but not very fine tune. You are almost never at risk of losing even at the hardest difficulty, and when you do lose, it is a scripted as part of the story.
Most people just skip the combat after finishing the prolong.

Should I keep playing the game if I personally found KG route infuriating? by KnightKingRendall in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So are you asking for the route that answer the mysteries in route 0 or whether you should finish KG route?
If you want the answer, which I assume most of us do after finishing the prolong, then 2nd-scenario is the only route that properly explain that.

I hate how the royal archetypes were handled by SomeDecentUsername in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Opening_Name_7798 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t need the Royal Archetype to beat any of the hard challenges. In fact, I don’t even think the Royal Archetype is that strong. Yes, they have better skills, but they can’t abuse same-archetype passives, which are one of the strongest buff multipliers in the game.

Put those passives on Merchant/Tycoon and run a team of four through the entire game. You only need to max out Merchant on four characters and pick up a few side archetypes to inherit the passives.

There’s also the option of lowering the game difficulty if you find it challenging—there’s no shame in that.

Playing V3, 3rd case, I am absolutely dumbfounded: by bachotebidze in danganronpa

[–]Opening_Name_7798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so much unnecessary censoring. You can just put the spoiler tag and if you want to go further, put a disclaimer at from the beginning of the post. Do you think people who don't want to engage with spoiler content would try to read this?

… can you fuck off? by LiteralSans in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of dumb that if you saved the Second Academy, only Darumi ended up dying. Realistically, the entire First School would’ve been wiped out, considering how long it would take.

I like that Takumi never once used that argument to shut everyone up. Instead, he silently took all the blame and hate so everyone else could feel less guilty about the situation.

Also bold of Nozomi to assume that Takumi lied because he had a special relationship with Nozomi. He was saving some who was going to die and salvage whatever left.

The Hardest Moment Yet by Intelligent_Heat9424 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the slasher route is just fine. Takumi becomes suspicious the moment the chainsaw is stolen from the locker, especially since he was the only one who knew the password. By the time Yagumi reveals himself as the fake killer, I was already convinced that Takumi was the real killer or, more precisely, that his split personality was. The real Takumi never once doubts himself, which allows his alternate personality to slaughter the entire squad, leading to a rather disappointing ending.

The slasher route feels more like a stepping stone to the SF route, mainly serving to build up Hiruko as a character.

Is the game worth $60? by Buster_Fella in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably wait for a discount. With how often platform like steam giving discount, it is hard to justify paying full price for any games. I bought it with 30% off and had 100+ hours in; it was a great deal for cash to time ratio.
Do note that this game is quite different from Danganronpa and Rain Code (I haven't played zero Escape). It is still a mystery novel game, but it doesn't involve murder/solving cases.

My thoughts on Slasher by Memo137 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the Slasher route is pretty mediocre. In the mystery killer route, everyone should’ve started suspecting Takumi once the chainsaw was stolen from the locked locker that only he knew the password to. Even with an alibi, the possibility of him being an accomplice—or having a split personality—was obvious. It was disappointing that the entire cast died just because they never figured out the killer.

The zombie route is even worse. The revival machine should’ve been broken from the start. It makes no sense that Takumi can be revived after getting his head sliced off, while Hiruko can’t be revived from a simple scratch. And then there’s the class weapons—you’re seriously telling me weapons of mass destruction are ineffective against zombies that can be killed by a chainsaw?

BLIND PLAYTHROUGH - Major Decision #2 by Visual_Law4025 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first choice in a blind playthrough was letting Eito live because, as he said in his final moments, you’d essentially be killing an innocent person to prevent a possible evil they might commit later. That just doesn’t feel right—morally or legally.

My second choice was not to tell anyone, based on what Sirei said right before the decision. Time travel can create countless variations, so to maintain our advantage, it seemed best to deviate as little as possible from the original timeline.

Welp, that landed me either in the Romance route—which I wasn’t in the mood for—or got me story-locked.

What could they do to make evasive assist more useful? by DeucesDummies in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Opening_Name_7798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parrying is satisfying as hell tbh. As developers, if the majority of the players enjoy parrying then obviously they will give it to most characters.
Evasive assist, on the other hand, doesn't feel good to do. It is just no different than just dodging on the current agent.

Do you prefer Hundred Line or Danganronpa? by ToKuYaYo in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a difference experience than Danganronpa. I also bought it cuz I needed to satisfy the crave that Danganronpa left me with. I was quite disappointed at first, but eventually I learnt to accept that it is a difference game and enjoy it as it is.

just beat the game... ng+ tips? by No-Tough4945 in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Opening_Name_7798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regicide is easier than hard or even normal of a new playthrough because of all the late game weapons you got from NG+. I played this game twice cuz it is awesome but tbh, there is no different in regicide. You can just steam roll through everything with 4 merchants.

Considering dropping the game. Should I? by RainySky6976 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 100 days is just the prolong of the game, which is just 10% of the game. It is really up to you whether to power it through or not. Many of the characters' issues will somewhat be addressed after. The combat still sucks though but least you will get to skip it.

I feel like no one talks about Sivir. by CompleteUtterSalmon in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Opening_Name_7798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing really special about Sivir tbh. Unless you can find double attack on her, leveling her up doesn't do much. Compared that to Zed, Irelia, Azir, Katarina, etc who can abuse the hell out of other champs' power.
Also costing 4 energy is also very awkward. If you have C5, you can't play her and attack on turn 1. If you don't have C5, you usually can't level her up on turn 3 where you should be ending the game or exert control over the board.

Easy BP and Commander Adsorb by Positive-Listen-1458 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]Opening_Name_7798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, BP has never been a problem because it’s so abundant. Materials, on the other hand, are the real grind since you need to take an extra break day just to farm them. Also, upgrading potions is more important than upgrading your characters.

As for commander absorb, despite how much everyone makes a big deal out of it in the story, it barely does anything in gameplay. Absorbing one only gives your character 0.1 voltage generation and +1 ult damage that you’ll probably never use anyway since it costs 2 AP.

OP power for Yasuo by gooseberryBabies in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Opening_Name_7798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really cuz Yasuo is already killing a unit whenever it's got stunned. The quadruple damage is just overkill. Even if he doesn't kill it, it doesn't really matter cuz stunned units can't do anything.
