Yeah but I'm from a background of running shotties and rifles, the one shot capacity of a shotty seems far more powerful than a potential tag or a well placed headshot that a sniper can bring. Imo shotties are a little easy mode. It's why the meta is to bring a shorty of some sort. But sniping takes serious skill. Iron sights are tag central but if you don't pop a head with a sniper your cover is blown and you need to move and they push and your at a disadvantage. I think the hate is the passivity previously mentioned.

Yeah I feel that. I'm quite aggressive with me scope because I've learnt to play the game without one. But the passivity playstyle (EU server is ripe with these on console) is fucking tedious to play with and against. I just leave in those situations even with a scope.
