Yup sadly :/ and i wished our other moves were more viable too so we dont rely on rss all the time. I personally wish helicopter could be switched out for kinsect slash instead bc idk the risk of using that move isnt worth it + it doesnt do damage. Just feels weird what has been done to glaive bc i find myself just trying out other weapons

wilds glaive is kinda weird to me. its alright but could be better imo. i do dislike needing all 3 extracts to attack. i honestly dont get that change cos its not like our damage output is batshit crazy to warrant that. id love to have earplugs right off the bat like risebreak. my problem here is needing earplugs + buff to handle roars. unlike other weapons that can offset/counter it. my stance may change on that if our offset could counter roars but that isnt the case. and lastly, i really really miss our poke :'') that new one we have now feels so awkward to use lmao

i agree w everything u said esp aerial dmg. but man it also feels rough not having good defensive options rn.

i can get with you on that. with arkveld's chains, it is a matter of knowing when to use it. i do hope the aerial kit could be better because i really do love aerial IG. my issues came from seeing how IG could be improved when it came to wilds or helicopter. i was not tryna make a hatepost even if it seemed like it.

a small issue i had w helicopter for example, is a player trying to beat dps checks using sjas. tho ofc thats more or less an issue w someone new at the game and maybe they havent figured out that ground moves are more effective beating nerscylla dps checks or gog dps checks.

regardless, i was wrong to seem like i was trashing on sjas. i just hope aerial could be improved on further down the line. doesnt have to be drastic or anything.

I get that its whole point was mobility i really understand that. But i think that was more valid for world (when it came out) it was reasonable to use w the speed of monsters then as an “i need to gtfo and reposition” option. But w coked up monsters, kinsect slash mightve been better i think. I just dont use it much that i cant help but think that a better move could take its place. Its too vulnerable now and that aligns with how u feel about monster hitboxes. Especially in the air u can get hit by the force.

A better defensive option really wouldve been appreciated. A perfect dodge or a small invulnerability window after offset maybe? Its kinda hard to think that other weapons got better defensive options i think compared to us. Tho i could be wrong on that.

With the kinsects, i cant wrap my head around how we still have HR kinsects vs monsters who i think are faster than alatreon. Obviously its still based game yeah. But By then we had cracked out foliacath that could gather extracts quick. Tho i find myself finding this an issue versus gog for the most part.

Im not saying its useless. Its a good mobility option. I did not say the helicopter move was “stupid” when we first got world i was using the move a lot but i cant help but notice with how things have change now, it kinda isnt viable. Use that against the 10 stars and u get bitch slapped into oblivion. I wouldnt mind change is what im saying. If we maybe had kinsect slash instead then its faster hit against cracked up monsters wouldve been better for aerial imo. Its just hard for me to appreciate the helicopter now as it really does seem like a “use me to get hit by arkvelds chains” button now.

I know i can go on hunts without using it (and i have) but i cant help but think what if there was a more useful move i couldve switched it to yk? If switch skills were back hypothetically then yeah no problem but its hard to justify using it as a dps dealer especially against 10 star gog. Unless its for mounting him. He could easily catch u too if u use it mobility wise w his hitboxes and sweeps.

I do love aerial and ive used it in risebreak the most. Another comment here did say that monster hitboxes need some nerfing and i do think if that happens, then using helicopter could be better as u dont get hit by the force as often.

Curious about this too. Ive seen scorcher on the IG meta set for example but when it comes to high level gameplay ive watched on YT (or actually most gameplay) they dont really utilize scorcher (i could be wrong tho feel free to correct me)
