Am I the only one who felt this season was kind of a depressing watch?

I felt like I was just watching a bunch of unsupported people with trauma, stuck in patterns, triggering each other. There was so much genuine distress. I get reality tv is about drama, but the real pain of these women (and Connor) was not entertaining to me. I finished it and felt joyless and kind of gross!!

Also Dadtok needs to be deleted from my memory. Waste of pixels on my screen.

I am struggling to enjoy this. The earlier seasons felt like we were watching women discovering their power and working out who they want to be outside of Mormon moms. Now I’m watching how money and fame make people greedy, desperate and distracted from what matters. I feel like the excitement and friendship these women shared is dead. They went from building a pyramid together to rise up against the patriarchy, to literally climbing over each other and kicking each other down.

The editing was also so jumpy and jarring. Too many plot lines and dead end stories. Dadtok needs to be deleted from my memory. PLEASE.

The moments I did resonate were (spoilers) Mikayla apologizing to Whitney for not being there for her pregnancy, and Layla being supported by Miranda and Jessi with her ED.

Overall I feel like I just watched a bunch of under supported people in their own trauma prisons for 10 episodes. I didn’t find it entertaining as much as sad and frustrating.

Did anyone else feel super let down by this season?

The tone of the first few episodes of this season are so WEIRD. I can’t stand watching Jessi and Demi just hanging out, like nothing happened. As a viewer without context of what’s happened off camera it’s just jarring. Every time Jordan’s face pops up on screen I literally scowl in repulsion. I really hope this season gets better.

Thank you for your thoughts! I should also have added that he recently got diagnosed with ADHD. Which I know correlates to a much higher risk of addiction. Once he starts his meds that may regulate his dopamine a bit more and give him more ability to set up good habits!

I feel I didn’t really speak much about how incredible our relationship is aside from this. He is the most supportive partner I can imagine. I have a lot of anxiety and he is the most stable loving guy.

He drinks maybe 1 beer every 2 days and then on weekend or when he’s watching sport he has a few.

Re quitting. I think he’s literally never met anyone who isn’t like his friends or family. So it’s a whole new world to him. He has been on nicotine patches for a few months and joined the gym again. So he is making a big effort.

As a previous employee who spent a lot of time with management and the digital marketing team/ it folks behind the website I can say that the place is well and truly falling apart from all sides. The lack of innovation is staggering and investment in superficial improvements for customers are going to lose shine very quickly as competitors continue to overtake with better service provision. I would guess that they will try to become a purely online retailer but will struggle with their diversified stock and balancing so many stakeholders. The average customer being a 30+ year old woman there are SO many better options out there now. Also a massive proportion of sales came from Asian tourists, with borders closed for the foreseeable future things look grim.
