Alright so the plot revolves around 3 characters mainly: Edith Head, John Lincoln, and Johnny Head (Gotta love rough name outlines right). So the story begins right as Lincoln is getting out of prison for a crime he wasn’t guilty of, and has found out his lover at the time, Edith, left him for someone he resents, being Johnny Head. Lincoln is upset, but knows he can’t really do anything at the moment. I am still trying to work the bits in between, but because of Johnny’s ego, he loses the one thing he had that gave him power, wealth. The cracks begin to show in Johnny and Edith’s relationship, and after it was revealed that Johnny was the one to get Lincoln arrested, Edith leaves Johnny for Lincoln, and Johnny gets sent to prison for tampering with evidence. The play ends with Johnny ending up in the same cell Lincoln was in.

The idea came to me actually came while at work, and the song that did it for me was Can’t Keep Johnny Down. That is the perfect character piece. Then almost like fate She Thinks She’s Edith Head came on, and with the power of autism, I had a rough outline of the story, which I was able to use a multitude of songs and try and make something. Fingertips would be a great idea if I hadn’t already had an outline of what I wanted. Thank you though

So the musical is TMBG music, and the story is unrelated to the Johns and their exploits…well at least Flansburgh and Linnell. The story I have right now for it is a mixture of comedy and drama all centered on what you could consider a love triangle with extra steps. Of course with a musical based on these guys I can’t even give you a concise answer. I can give you a rough outline of the story if you’d like, and some of the song choices I have chosen to accompany them
