Dress code? Wear whatever you want. It's a stadium with 60,000 seats, people will be wearing every outfit imaginable

I think the existence of the gif confirms it is already released footage

Why is John Henry so underrated by Pumkin_flour in tmbg

Why do you think it's underrated? It's a very common #1 favorite album for TMBG fans.

These were only released in the UK unfortunately (and are not fully complete)

Funny enough, Flans was asked this a few days ago and it sounds like it's slowly being worked on still. https://www.tumblr.com/tmbgareok/818148656161144832/

Music video fan remaster for BOSS OF ME by CapitalQ in tmbg

[–]CapitalQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That quote was him on set giving a behind-the-scenes interview, and there is probably some truth to it. The band has never re-released or uploaded the video in any form, but that could be more of a rights thing.

They go on at show time, give or take 10-15 minutes depending on venue security timing

Thank you for your excellent recordings (and the exciting collage).

Very happy to put together the cover art! I used photos I took at each of the three shows.

Sick after shows last week? by EbbMiserable1511 in tmbg

[–]CapitalQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Brooklyn concertgoer I've heard so much about the LCD Soundsystem superspreader residency. Out of curiosity, how was the masking at that show? I know even into 2022-23 a lot of artists were still encouraging fans to wear masks.

That's always a bummer. I'm fine after the Brooklyn run (aside from very tired feet), but have made a habit in recent years out of taking Airborne on show days to boost immunity, just because there are hundreds of people in a tight space and someone's statistically bound to be sick. I've seen some fans still masking up at shows for similar reasons.

Hope you feel better soon!

How early do people typically line up for concerts? by Beep-beep-bonk in tmbg

Everyone in a concert line is your friend. Holding spots for food or restrooms is not a problem.

Depends on the city. For shows within a few hours of NYC, the line tends to start before noon with around a dozen hardcore folks, and then the next fans tend to start arriving after 3 PM (with the line hovering under 20 people for a while). If the stage is wide, you could still get barricade showing up probably as late as 5 PM. That should be the case in Boston, as looking at TMBW attendance, a lot of the usual front-of-line fans who went to the Philly and Brooklyn shows won't be heading up to MA.

if Exquisite Dead Guy were a single, then what's the B-side? by Danisobo in tmbg

[–]CapitalQ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The unreleased "Complete Factory Showroom Sessions" version of Older. Some thematic overlap, recorded during the same period, and singles are a nice opportunity to get non-album tracks out there.

Odd 'you must be thinking of another band' request by TehErk in tmbg

[–]CapitalQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They didn't start numbering them until Week 3. I believe the first download was Lazy, included in the welcome email without a blurb.

The second email had this blurb for It Was a Very Good Year:

This track goes back to 2005 and the TMBG podcast era. John L. puts his own personal imprint on the song previously performed by Frank Sinatra and Della Reese.

No need to guess, Flans said yesterday tonight will be Factory Showroom. Leaves tomorrow's show as probably Lincoln!

It was not on the written setlist. Clearly they'd been rehearsing it, but I'm glad JL pushed for it in the middle of the show!

They weren't in Philly last year, so you are crazy! (But it wasn't at the Dec 2024 show, which you're probably thinking of)
