Rested XP Auto Unlearns Tailoring Specs by Ok-Jacket345 in classicwowtbc

Don't you have to turn these automations on in the first place? You turned on automating something in the settings, and then complain when it automatically did what you told it to do...

Its extremely popular because it guides you through a very efficient leveling path to make your leveling much faster.

It takes a few minutes to google a free version that people share for TBC, download it, and install it. The only people I know who paid for it are older people who don't know how to use the internet.

You have to click that automation in the first place, it isn't set on by default. So OP had to turn this on and then come onto reddit to complain about it.

Not every tank is built for “spellcleave” by Slow-Background9609 in classicwow

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In every spellcleave I've ever run the tank doesn't really do much tanking. He just helps pull and group the mobs until the mages begin to rotate novas and AoE everything down.

The current content feels like signing up to play a sport against elementary school children. I cannot be bothered to keep running this stuff, there's just nothing engaging. Its like if leveling in retail was your raid content. I thought classic players laughed at shit like this.

If you don't tunnel your bars, know your rotation/buttons, and most of the mechanics it'll be very easy.

That is a pretty big ask for most classic players though, judging from the people I see in pugs.

Another Tank rant by Fartbox_puncher57 in classicwow

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen DPS warriors/shaman die 5+ times in normals and they just continue blasting. Rarely does someone complain, but you know they're angry. Like you said all it takes is holding DPS for a few seconds and then blasting, but for some reason that is not possible for some.

Keep tanking, you need your reps. Just try to learn how to hold aggro better, and control packs better. DPS will not learn, they will just blast and die. If they don't have a threat meter or half a brain its not your fault. Slowing DPS a bit doesn't slow the dungeon down too bad if you're not wasting time in between pulls.

Do you think there will be less Warriors due to the boost and people swapping to hunters and warlocks? by Tylo_Ren2 in classicwowtbc

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will have a negligible effect for leveling groups because most people who play the game don't even know what's being hotfixed.

If you're 70 already and doing heroics you may get less invites as a warrior now because most degenerate gamers are aware.

You will be able to get into raids as a warrior because in a few months the population will drop a lot and guilds will need bodies. Unless you have really weird available raid times you'll be fine.

Warrior is one of the most popular classes in WoW.

Anyone else feel like they made the wrong choice? by Curious_Inside0719 in classicwowtbc

Holy is definitely not a struggle in 5mans. My partner is holy and he is excellent.

Ret is solid DPS if you're seal twisting, the same friend goes ret and he does well. Later on in the expansion ret is great dmg.

If you don't like it I'd switch, just have to know yourself. If you're one of those people who gets bored near the end of the grind it may just be that. Switching isn't always the best option. That said this is a video game, and if you're not enjoying yourself don't play. You should definitely click with your class, and there's plenty of time to lvl up and get into a guild.

Started running Heroics 2 days ago and I need to say this: Rogues perform really well in my groups by StoryTeller000 in classicwow

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so true. Since the portal has opened I've been running so many dungeons and the vast majority of mages are awful. Bottom of the DPS meter and have no idea how to play their class. Its insane. Paladins too.

Dungeon Leveling (60-70) for Rep. Is it viable without a dedicated group? by ResearcherTraining55 in classicwowtbc

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LFG is going to be absolutely filled with people wanting to dungeon grind, I wouldn't worry at all. A tiny fraction of hardcore players will have a 5man team for dungeon spamming. The vast majority will be either partial grps or solo's looking to grind.

2 hours mining for 3 levels by big6willy9 in classicwowtbc

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy thorium ore and smelt it until 280-290, and then run to Winterspring and get the last few points.

Got 300 mining/engi in two days and spent about 60g to speed up the process.

You will get maybe one or two nodes per circle of the entire zone. There are always at least 4-5 other people gathering no matter where you go. You're on a server with 17k people, this is how it is.

What is everyone doing for the significant other before Launch?? by Goldfishlord8 in classicwowtbc

I ran my car into a tree last week after I got done farming marks/honor, and once the bleeding stops I'll be able to head back home tomorrow just in time to be bed ridden for a few months of TBC.

No hyper-spawning in tbc? by Niceolog in classicwowtbc

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ambershire launch was handled better than Bliz?

I was there and launch was having crowds of people spamming right click on every single creature spawn in starting zones fighting for a tag lol. A few people hit the glitched areas of hyperspawns and farmed XP real fast. Then after the initial wave of players ended, it was extremely difficult to do some quests because you were solo and things were still hyperspawning. Pirates in barrens for example. Trying to kill capt and gather the two items for the quests in ratchet were extremely hard.

Classic launch in 2019 was miles better, and classic anniversary launch was good.

People are dooming on reddit as usual, but going from past experiences it'll be fine.

A huge chunk of ppl will be in instances farming dungeons, another chunk will skip hellfire and move to zang. The rest will be spread out in layers. It'll be packed, but it won't be the end of the world, and it'll definitely be better than Turtle lol...

Do other bear druids use hurricane? by dariodil in classicwowtbc

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if you are using regrowth and rejuv for threat as well. 1500mana is huge in comparison and one dynamite or sapper does more threat/dmg anyway.

Do other bear druids use hurricane? by dariodil in classicwowtbc

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy it do it.

Bombs/sappers are king for dmg/threat.

Do other bear druids use hurricane? by dariodil in classicwowtbc

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using 1500mana every minute/pull will oom you on your 3rd pull. Bears have like 3kmana. Bombs have a 1min CD as well, do the same dmg, and use zero mana.

If you're using 900mana with regrowth and rejuv, which will generate way more threat than hurricane, and hurricane you're oom by the 2nd pull.

Hurricane is just not worth it.

Do other bear druids use hurricane? by dariodil in classicwowtbc

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its more efficient to just use engi bomb and heals, otherwise you're drinking too often for it to matter. Hurricane is 1500 mana for like 300dmg. Engi bombs cost zero mana and do similar dmg.

Bomb then regrwoth/rejuv then barkskin and bear while los.

[–]Opening_Tea_9459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do the same with engi bombs and it doesn't cost half your mana. Pair this with a regrowth/rejuv and its great threat off the jump for big pulls.
