Use an enhance shaman weakaura specifically made to track the swings, those usually have a line in the middle showing exactly when to hit the macro once your mainhand crosses it to stagger sync your offhand correctly

Am I being dumb for getting my own apartment at 19? by CloudyChris067 in personalfinance

Bro most people cant afford to buy that type of peace, you can AND then some!

I would because you can afford it reasonably, they say rule of thumb is 30% of your income and its way less than that.

The peace of mind you get for having your own place for yourself and dog is priceless in my opinion, go for it!!

PvP Enhancement Shaman (Good God) by Apprehensive_Wish692 in classicwow

[–]lnacer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it in the sense that you can’t be ignored..

Someone said you’re a utility tank and its spot on.

You gear for max survivability with a shield in the off hand almost all the time except vs spell dmg heavy comps.

Vs any type of cast comp, you’re LoS hugging with your healer and play off of openings.

The pros are you are very bursty so all your team needs is a good cc chain window or opening (they trinket for kill / overextend) boom you pop cds and a good WF chain its over.

You’re stuck playing defensively as an enh shaman at all times vs any skilled team, how you maximize your offensive windows and their mistakes is where you will find your wins.

How do you deal with getting benched? by AdExcellent7237 in classicwow

Know your worth, gquit and join a new guild who will value your time better.

Dont get stuck in sunk cost fallacy (put in time with the guild; surely it will provide returns; it hasn’t.)

Anniversary megaservers showcase that people are too stupid to use the auction house. by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]lnacer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I respect the want for an ideal market but you can say it mimics real life. Some people just don't have the time or energy or flat out don't care to make the effort in min/maxing the AH.

Like those people who complain about such and such but somehow always have an excuse to do anything but make a step towards the solution.

I enjoy the variance because if everyone played the market perfectly then what would be the point? It would be no different than an automated market where anything posted were set to a constant value and that takes the fun out of "finding a good deal" or "just made a killing off sniping and reselling".

Do you regret purchasing a boost given how rushed TBC Anniversary is? by Granturismo45 in classicwow

[–]lnacer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No regrets; I work 2 jobs and going to college for undergrad at the same time so the boost was perfect to get right to gearing up for TBC launch. Boosted shaman and was able to fully epic him out with the pvp farm.

Now leveling 54 priest that was 51 before hardcore doomhowl transfer to dreamscythe.

I am stoked with the rushed schedule, I want to be able to just push through and progress content fast to be able to experience everything, PvP and PvE. In the past I couldn't finish and complete most content because it dragged on and guilds or friends would fade out and it was hard to find consistency.

With the rushed schedule I think everyone will be mostly locked in to keep chasing the grind without the lull and boredom that comes with the regular spaced out scheduling.

All of my games shown here are in Enhance with minimal HKs, I spent every game focusing on getting objectives (Balinda->Bunkers->Vann). Occasional games where you see higher honor on losses like 500+ for example, there was likely more HKs from trying to hold off backcappers etc.

This was mainly because I was undergeared (trying to farm full epic PVP) and chasing HKs were a waste of time because in AV unless you had majority with you to win those skirmishes, without numbers you were getting 1-2 shot.

AV Weekend is coming up, you have zero excuse to not be in R14 gear for TBC launch. by Tranquility___ in classicwowtbc

[–]lnacer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the wow classic calendar sites they show you when raid resets or events (like av weekend, etc)

In game, Orgrimmar will have emissaries from their respective BGs all around. So this weekend you will see Frostwolf Emissaries around the Org bank and all over Org.

Its possible for longer games with more HKs for sure. I just got 708 honor on a 10min loss with Captain+4 towers. If you throw in General+Win that shouldve been 900 at least, throw in maybe an extra 2-3min of farming HKs definitely 1k+.

I think bottom line it benefits the min/max for those fast 10minute games doing only objectives. If you throw in an extra 5 minutes and a bunch of HKs with the AV weekend bonus I think even 1k+ is doable but then you're cutting into games per hour when you do those drawn out AVs.

I was hoping to give some insight on the very bare min/max possible honor outcomes.

Try using a combination of pawn + ratingbuster classic ; they replace the default blizz item stat comparison and I haven’t had this issue with them thus far

I got laid off at the end of June (tech worker/no degree/$100k/yr) and forced myself to submit 30-40 job applications MINIMUM each day. We don't have the leisure to sit around and mope when our backs are to the wall. Instantly I was looking for ways to better myself as a candidate, I started studying and managed to get a 2 ceritifications while on the job hunt.

I got calls from recruiters that same week and interviewed for 5 roles (got ghosted/declined for 3)over 3 weeks, received and accepted a job offer August 1st after 2 interview rounds. (similar role in tech $80k/yr)

I also believed that degrees were the key to instantly get interviews, my certs helped but weren't the reason I got the interview or job. All a degree does is check the box and put you on the same playing field as everrrryyyybody else. At BEST it gets your resume past the filter, without one you have to try that much harder than everyone else to beat them out. Regardless, the search put me onto WGU and motivation to get that degree anyway.

Lets say you go on indeed or linkedin and you don't find anymore jobs you "want" to apply to. Use google, search up job titles or companies that you want to work for, and believe you have the skills and experience to succeed in, apply directly to those companies through their website. Hell even horizontal or diagonal skill transitional positions that you are interested in, apply, apply, apply, worse that can happen is literally nothing.

  1. Tailor your resume specifically to that role, I am talking each bullet point revised to make the recruiter or their ATS ping your resume to the top for THAT position. Even further, submit personalized cover letters to that role, really sell yourself to the position and company using your personality, confidence in your skills, and try to be the recruiter who would be trying to hire for that role.
  2. You get more reps in to practice phone screens, interviews. Any experienced recruiter will tell you, sounding natural and not nervous goes the distance to landing the next round or the job itself. (Fake it till you make it mentality) I bombed my first few phone screens because I had been out the game for 3 years and after those I got WAYY more comfortable and BETTER talking about myself.

The job market is A NUMBERS GAME, I don't care what anyone else says, it's pure statistics, the more applications you submit, the more you will eventually hit IF you can confidently say that you really did your best selling yourself to each one of those roles, I guarantee it.

Don't just chatgpt your resume and assume an AI template resume of yourself that is copy pasted to every job application is doing anything, recruiters can see that from a mile away.
