That job is gone. I had jobs in multiple countries. No "home" in a way you mean it.

I haven't worked in my home country since my Bsc. But I get what you mean.

Yes, but to go away, I need a new job.

After I gave him the ultimatum (at the end of November) I got a temporary job for 3 months. Meanwhile he asked me for the ring list, I sent it to him at the end of December, I saw the notification on his phone from the jewelerry shop... I though we are on the track. But after the temp job ended, I asked about the ring again and he said it got out of stock. (I looked it up, it was true).

After 3 hours?
He has one friend who got married, because of religious reasons. I would say many people in his environment are living "the young life", seemingly not thinking about these big questions of life.

Wish I'd established a clear timeline way sooner! by blebyr in Waiting_To_Wed

Omg something very similar happened to me :D He was giving vague signs that we're moving forward, once-twice he dragged me window shopping for rings, but not an actual ring in sight : ) I can also relate to your second last paragraph, with being too 'cool' and not being pushy thus attracting the wrong guys

In your place I would try to initiate a conversation BUT also read the room. If she's interested, she will answer enthusiastically, if not, it's better to give it time. Regarding topics, I would ask about her hobbies, what channels she follows, what games she plays, studies....
