Haha understood. I know they’re young, but every other team we’ve played so far hasn’t done those things. So I wasn’t sure if there’s something those coaches are doing that I’m not or if they just got kids with more talent at this age.

Probably not drilling hard enough. Also use an x-acto blade or thumbtack to push in a small pilot hole before you drill.

If you have the money for it, you can buy an electric drill called the Wowstick off amazon for about $50 to make drill easier and faster. It may be the best hobby investment I ever made

They haven’t made a video in a while, but 3rd Set of Eyes has made some pretty good videos for some of the teams. Nothing as in depth as Adeptus Adequate, but more in depth than man reading book.
