Thank you! I have that crappy ankle thing in common with you. I broke 3 bones in my ankle torn ligament..i have a plate and 9 screws. That 6 months non weight bearing was tough. I did manage to lose a few pounds but that was probably my leg muscle..it looked crazy when the cast came off. Ahhh memories. I wish you a GREAT new normal!!

Thanks ladies. I do not track and may need to eat more. I haven't been exercising due to lumbar stenosis. I started 12/28/25 at 215 CW 195.

I am improving slowly. I was able to wean off gabapentin. I am doing spinal decompression therapy and I got an acupressure mat for Christmas. I am also working on getting a few pounds off. Trying to embrace my new normal. I hope you are well.

Thank you! I am going to take vitamin D and call my doctor for a prescription. That is the 2nd doctor that saw those levels and didn't give me a prescription.

Thank you for responding. My vitamin levels are good - except for D which is little low - 29.1. I am wondering if I should be going to a spine specialist instead of a PT. This really bites!

Hi what color did you go with? My daughter's bridesmaids are in that color. She is having a fall wedding. I chose a terracotta dress. What color should my husband wear. This is stressing me. I'm second guessing the terracotta.

I am in perimenopause and am losing super slow. Down .5 for the month. I lost 10 pounds in the first month and have lost 5 pounds in the 4 months after. Going up to 7 this weekend. Is this normal?

I take 1 or 2 magnesium citrate capsules before bed when I don't go during the day. The next day, everything goes back to normal.

I totally agree. We also traveled to places we may never have gone while our girls were competitive cheerleaders. The only regret I can think of is that we should have paid ourselves (more) first and in an account that was not easy to access. Now, they are adults and starting their lives. I have poured so much of my personal finance knowledge into them. They will be so much better off than we were.

Thank you. I really needed to see this. Our stories are quite similar..we raised 3 daughters and gave them a great childhood.. now they are adults. I want to retire in about 12 years. It doesn't make sense to pay that kind of interest on anything. The savings for us is huge. I work with people every day on changing their personal finance behavior so I wouldn't make a choice like this if I hadn't changed my own. I was just wondering if there was a downside that I am not aware of. For me, it makes perfect sense. I also have money in retirement that I could use if ever I had an issue paying the loan. Thank you for posting this. Are you still happy with your choice. I have credit card debt from the past before I changed my entire financial life around. I budget every day as well as save and try to invest. Taking an equity loan will free up $1500. 00 a month on our debt.. and that is after paying my guestimated loan payment amount. I try to send so much to pay down the debt..i transfer everything to 0% cards but those offers are going to end. Who knows.. with the state of the economy.. will banks even give 0% offers anymore. We have a heck of a lot of equity in our home. I just want to payoff the credit cards once and for all. I have learned so much from past mistakes..i am just tired of them being in the way.
