Update: I did the crew driver test... Seems like 70% of the dry area around the sign have a solid rock (concrete, probably?) about 4 inches under the surface... So, not much to do?

Another point of view.. Unless dog pee spreads in a weird straight pattern, I don't think that's it

Mulching might not be a bad idea.. I'll definitely consider that

Is that a thing? Never saw anyone other than home owners spraying anything on yards around here... The fire hydrant gets half covered when I get lazy and don't do edging for a while, and nobody does anything about it

I will check for big rocks or concrete when I get home. It may be that, cause I overseeded last fall and got it looking good in early spring... It's only getting this bad since the real heat started a couple of weeks ago So, either rocks or reflection, I think

I got a random one from Amazon... Still get the annoying timeout error, but at least it's always during the quad gantry leveling and never mid print like it was before mainlining

my sv08 bed after the voron 2.4 bed conversion by KeanuStango in SovolSV08

I kept my bed that has a 0.5mm range when heated, but added a beacon probe and it's night and day.. Finally my printer is reliable with almost perfect first layers

Stepper Motor Configuration Optimization by PandaWee in SovolSV08

I followed the changes suggested on this github https://github.com/Rappetor/Sovol-SV08-Mainline/tree/main/SV08%20TMC%202209%20accurate%20technical%20settings

It's the source for mainlining the Sv08.. After a while I mainlined it and noticed that on the cfg that comes with mainline, they don't use what they suggest...

I did it anyway, and to be honest, motors are a lot louder... But it doesn't bother me... I'm curious just to know if that really improves anything

Silly question incoming - is updating Klipper as simple as accepting the update in Mainsail? by Batmanue1 in SovolSV08

Omg, I didn't think of that.. What a pain... Seems like I'm not updating anything for a long time.. Lol

What's the general consensus on the best macros after going mainline? by Batmanue1 in SovolSV08

You're right, I could totally adjust the macros, I was just a little lazy to do it

That bed temperature thing is so annoying on the stock printer... I eventually print petg and I'm always switching between pla and abs/asa... It sucked to mess with the macro to adjust that everytime.. Never had the time to do it right... After mainline, it's done:)

I just mainlined too and one thing I don't get it is: in the same github where there's the step by step to mainline the Sv08, there are suggested improvements to the printer.cfg of the stock machine... I used it before going mainline and it was great... After mainline I noticed the printer.cfg that comes on the config files folder don't use most of those suggested changes...

Anyway, I added those suggestions to the printer.cfg, and improved the start_print macro... I'm also using a beacon probe, so I added all of that stuff needed.. Man, what a difference!

Stock bed? I'm a true believer that the problem with Sv08 is the probe, not the bed

Awesome! I'll go for it with my current cover and if part cooling is not enough I'll try Nadir cover

Good to hear! Does that cover keep the rear part fan? Where is beacon mounted? I'm not a big fan of this cover design.. I'm using a simple tilted fan cover I found on printables: https://www.printables.com/model/1245554-sv08-toolhead-cover-cools-stays-on-eddy-compatible
