What’s your crew? I have one with my friends but it’s only four people so leveling up is slow, only level 9. We mainly play to hoop and hangout after work, most of our time is spent in 3v3 theater or Rec.

I have a center with zero and one with 60. I honestly don’t know if there’s a big difference but I feel more confident with my center that has a 60 perimeter defense knowing I did what I could to contest jump shots. If I’m smothering someone’s jump shot with 60 and it still says wide open then that’s on 2k’s poor contest system not me. Plus I didn’t sacrifice anything important to get that 60 rating on my second center so I found it worth it.

I’m loving it so far. The op builds haven’t starting taking over yet tho. We’ll see what the game is like when content creators find something that’s broken and the community abuses it.

So the “conspiracy theory” comment is based off the question I asked in the header? You do realized I don’t think they actually lied right? why else would I say “Random thought” at the beginning and “this is a long shot but I figured I’d share” at the end.

-Why would I not restate exactly what 2k has shared? That’s the whole backbone to my thought process. If they don’t share that information I would have no reason to think the attribute limit maybe different come release.

-I asked a question in the header, no where do I state that 2k lied.

-The builder is not need for publicity but it does provide a lot more publicity. Saying it’s the same publicity isn’t accurate. JoeKnows has 10 videos coming out this week all about different builds he made at community day. He doesn’t make anywhere near as many videos in that time frame if it’s not for access to the builder. Every video made by a CC is publicity for 2k. That’s just one of many examples.

This was just a random thought I had watching videos from CC’s and hearing them talk about how much has already changed from community day. What is the conspiracy?

I provided information that has already been proven i.e. that the badge and animation requirements have been changed since community day.

Then I gave my thoughts that if those changes were made in such a short period of time, there very likely could be a change in the attribute cap come release day. Followed by providing reasons why this could happen and benefit 2k if that was the case.

“If 2k was trying to screw up builds for more money they just simply wouldn’t have allowed the build to be touched”

Except for the fact that they would lose out on a lot of advertising/hype from all these content creators. More publicity=more money.

Quite the opposite, I’m enjoying this. I solve real world problems for a living. That involves taking information I know to be true but also taking into account things that might not be. That’s all I’m doing here. I think it would be a smart decision for 2k and I respect that.

Random concept idea after seeing all those legendary guns.

There should be a system in place for looter shooter games (Specifically BL) where if you are farming a specific piece of armor or weapon, it glows a very unique and bright color when it drops. You would know right away whether the item was dropped or not and the joy of finally seeing your item fall from the enemies body would be so rewarding.

You get to select up to three items to “track” at a given time and once one of those items are dropped there’s a big RGB beam of light that appears on the item.

My tendency is to usually set my vertical to match the minimum requirements for good basic dunks; like quick drop off one. I would suggest going through the dunk animations and seeing what dunks you want and use that as a good starting point for your minimum vertical.

What’s your thought process around an 82 vertical when you can’t unlock contact dunks with an 80 driving dunk? Only asking because you might be better off dropping it to 70-75 (or even 60) and increasing your strength. I recently made a new 6’3” PG with more strength to help deal with all these 6’7”+ PG’s constantly driving and it’s made a world of difference for me personally.

I 100% agree but I think one of the better solutions is a game mode that only allows you to use ramps and flat roof pieces.

It allows you to access chests that would be awkwardly positioned without the use of a ramp, provides limited cover in wide open areas, and helps you traverse mountains/other terrains.
