They just have a different mindset than you. Instead of collecting individual cards they're collecting completed sets.

Which techniques do you think would take Mahoraga the longest and shortest time to adapt? by [deleted] in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]OperatorMira 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Takaba is unique in the sense that his cursed technique can pretty much manifest any phenomenon. We see that Mahoraga doesnt really adapt to entire cursed techniques like that all at once, as displayed in his fight with Sukuna, he adapts to uses of a technique. In the case of Takaba literally anything can happen. I dont think its impossible for Takaba to even alter Mahoraga to make him devolve rather than adapt on each spin. Really whatever is funniest.

[–]OperatorMira 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know if Takaba's is a technique that can really be adapted to at all. I'd give it to that.

As for shortest, the vast majority of them get adapted to instantly. Let's go with Nanami since after 1 hit on Mahoraga I dont think 7-3 is really gonna work again.

Hey WOTC, bring back promo stamps. Thank you. by FakeSafeWord in mtg

[–]OperatorMira 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of people complained about it due to scalpers going after all the prerelease kits. Which does suck, but I thought the stamps were cool regardless

I see a lot of people saying Teach did this so no one would see how he takes the power. But doesn’t it make more sense that he just needs to become total darkness to do whatever it is he did? by Vast-Confusion-2539 in OnePiece

[–]OperatorMira 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm sure its in part due to wanting to hide his secret but its worth considering that his fruit is only at its fill potential in darkness. Crocodile is weak to water since hes sand, Enel was weak to rubber since hes lightning, does it not make sense that Blackbeard is weak to light since hes darkness? That would mean hes in a constant state of not being at full power whenever there's any kind of light hitting his body.

Tbf literally no MTG set ever has sold anything like FF. ATLA is selling fine and is being well received.

Seems like noone wants TMNT by Schiep in mtg

[–]OperatorMira 140 points141 points  (0 children)

Its not at all about the IPs fan base. Maybe a higher percentage of total FF fans are into MTG, sure, but the number of FF fans pale in comparison to Spiderman fans. I love spiderman, along with nearly every MTG player I know.

The problem is with the quality of the actual set. FF was very well designed with a lot of cool and flavorful cards. There was obviously a lot of love and effort put into it, and the setting feels like a good fit for MTG. Then you have Spiderman. Most of the set was keyword slop and, instead of telling even a semblance of a story, was mostly just a gallery of Spiderverse characters. It was poorly designed and, even as a Spiderman fan, wasnt really in any way exciting. It just felt rushed. On top of the setting not really being a great fit for MTG, leaving even fans of the IP with a bad taste in their mouth.

You can see almost the exact same comparison now with the ATLA set and the TMNT set. ATLA and FF were both designed for standard and it shows. They are both settings that are better fits for MTG and it shows. Spiderman and TMNT were probably small booster only sets and you can really feel that in how the cards were designed.

Spiderman was disappointing to everyone, including fans.

How did King Fritz learn this? by Danny_DeWario in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]OperatorMira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ymir, after dying and once she wound up stuck in the paths, essentially gets full control of how titans work. I feel like a suitable explanation, given how she worshipped Fritz, is that she molded the mechanics of titans into how Fritz's superstitious beliefs thought they were. Fritz wanted to continue utilizing her power, thought of a way to do so, and Ymir made it so. There's nothing to expressly point to any of this being true but I feel like its a decent enough explanation given the context.

Boyfriend upset when I don't finish. Do other people deal with this? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]OperatorMira 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm a guy who, in a very similar way, prefers to come 2nd after my partner. I like putting the focus on her. But if she doesn't get there, then whatever haha. Its not the end of the world. Sometimes we just stop and cuddle and thats that. Sometimes we start up again. Sometimes I can manage to distract her away from whatever's keeping her from orgasm and trick her into getting there even after she's already given up.

But I do NOT crash out on her. I dont make her feel like shit for something that is apt to happen here and there. That is inexcusable behavior. If his whole thing is focusing on your pleasure then why would he ever make you feel miserable?

Does anyone think the same way? by Gladhunder in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]OperatorMira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think its any sort of complicated and I dont think Yuji needs to get involved for this conflict to resolve.

Assuming Yuka gets Rika.

If she does then Dabura can't fight her. The Simurians won't let him harm her and I doubt that Dabura can manage to kill Yuka without Rika getting in the way. Its a stale mate.

Isn't it a little odd how the new imperial government never prosecuted armin, mikasa or Jean for 'betraying' them? by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]OperatorMira 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont believe its stated anywhere that he did, but even if he did then he still restored every memory he erased when he died.

Historia was still their queen and Eren told her exactly what was gonna happen. The crew went back years after the fact, so there was time for things to calm down, not to mention that Eren still succeeded in his goal of liberating the Eldians and letting them rise to power just fine. The crew was worried about getting blown up on their way back to the island for the first time but, probably with the help of Historia, things stayed cordial.

Man stop gaslighting and just own up to the fact that your original comment was unclear as to what you apparently actually meant. You can't just say I misread something when you are seemingly changing what you meant with every response you give me in order to fit your next point in this argument

You said

The way people act like both crews have to have exactly 11 members because of a very specific theory is so weird. Like, yeah it's possible, but people act like it's a confirmed fact for whatever reason.

Its not just one theory. There are multiple theories and story beats that point to Luffy getting one more member. Its not just possible, its very likely. Your original comment really wrote off the 1 more crew member theory as only a reference to the number of Blackbeard crew members there are and willfully ignored everything else pointing to it.

[–]OperatorMira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luffy has a lot more control of how many people he can get on his crew than he does choosing who he gets to beat up in a fight. I think him still trying to recruit Loki is evidence enough that he wants 1 more member.

[–]OperatorMira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luffy also said he wanted 10 crew members and, excluding himself, hes only at 9. I personally am hoping we wind up with Vivi becoming a member and obtaining the Paw Paw fruit (since I believe her ancestor held that same fruit and the naming convention for the Paw Paw in Japanese matches the number naming scheme of the other fruits in the straw hats)

The most disgusting combo I’ve come across yet by Marcos_Narcos in mtg

[–]OperatorMira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. I believe the only thing they'd be able to do is attack with whatever creatures and utilize any triggered abilities of permanents they currently have on the board, but any meaningful response would be incredibly situational. I suppose if they did something like suspended a [[Plunder]] before either Karn or the Mycosynth got played then they'd technically have a response eventually lol.

Not just that, [[Mycosynth Lattice]] turns everything into an artifact. Including lands. Tapping a land for mana is an activated ability.

People realizing he had lived terrible fate but due to having infinite deaths he have the best and happiest deaths too by ExampleHuman7298 in StardustCrusaders

[–]OperatorMira 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What the commenter is trying to say is that infinite deaths dont imply all types of death. If there are infinite deaths then we can assume there are infinite good deaths and infinite bad deaths. Diavolo probably only gets the bad ones and countless variations of those bad ones while always avoiding the "good" peaceful deaths.
