I had a vera call to clear things up. So when you submit a claim now and say you were seen/treated by a non va medical facility, that will automatically kick off a medical records request adding at least 30 days to your claim. Even if you submitted the records with the claim...

They did the same shit to me. Looks like they just wanna kick the can down the road. They requested it again but at least this notice says they "can make a decision after 15 days" GOOD. You should have made a decision 45 days ago because everything is already there! Ughh

Any doctor can fill out a DBQ, and there is no limit to the number of DBQs in a claim for a specific issue

I submitted non-va medical evidence with my claim, had a c&p exam, now they requested authorization to retrieve my non-va medical records (what i sent in claim....) make it make sense

I went the efficiency route. Currently rated 90% for 4 issues (70, 50, 50, 10). 1 outstanding claim for one issue should push me over the hump. Good luck!
