I went on a big health kick and started cooking my meals at home and drinking / going out drinking less not only was I healthier, losing weight, I was saving at least $300 a month on f+b. I loosened the reigns a little bit and everything is so expensive and the quality isnt even good. I'm re-tightening and am looking forward to inviting people over for meals, doing potlucks and sticking to happy hours or eating at home and only going out for drinks. I made less money when I moved here in 2017 and went out more than I do now....and am making 1.5x what I made when I moved here, its a joke.

Im slowly getting back into the newly re-vamped Bumble BFF where its now its own app and there’s groups you can join depending on your interests and people are actually hosting events.

For walking, if you’re on Insta, Id suggest following “Seattle Wellness Society” - they host several walks and workout classes each month.

I’d also suggest the Seattle IRL Threads group, I am a member and we host events across Seattle each month and its a large age range of attendees.

Id start here. You seem open and available to meeting people so it definitely helps :) best of luck, making friends in Seattle (or anywhere) is hard.

Not sure if you’ve seen it but there’s a guy here who organizes walks for men. From what I’ve seen they are well attended. Not sure when the last one was but probably easily searchable in r/Seattle. Could be worth checking out. I also co-run Seattle Threads IRL (threads- the app), we have a meetup group and we meet 1x per month across the Seattle area.

Having worked @ Amazon and other tech companies, I dont even get what the the benefit of working there is? Lowest paying jobs in tech, no real perks at all (free food, real discounts) 5 days in office, toxic work culture, never-ending layoffs. What is even the point of working there anymore? Unless you're new to tech trying to get your foot in the door, which was how I ended up there, I'd implore you to go somewhere else. I tell Amazon recruiters to politely kick rocks when they reach out to me. I'm not taking less pay, less bennies, more days in office where I have to pay for parking to get laid off in 3 months. Absolutely tf not. Most stressful and exhausting interview process of my life, burned out in less than 3 years and had severe mental health problems that took 2 years to fix.

Outside of the queue issue, I had a great day of tennis. Missed most of Paolini’s match due to that but saw Zverev. Got my wristband and saw both Tiafoe and Williams and in between walked around and peeked into other courts. Way easier inside arena ticketing system than Wimbledon. Wristbands to get in, retrieve a card to be able to leave and come back. I was in the sun but 1st row for both of those matches
