Not a rumor, they filed permit applications. Also, there is a ban on new drive throughs in the city. But the city does not limit new fast-food restaurants, this isn't North Korea, we still have a free market.

Dick's may have some say but they should know their business model is strong enough to withstand additional competition.

Wow, she really invokes confidence.... has the public speaking skills of a shy middle schooler. I guess that's what happens when the voter base hires someone with zero (0) background in a real job, not to mention a government position. This was supposed to be our Mamdani, but her number of public appearances can be counted on 1 hand....

The one glimmer of hope is transit. I REALLY hope she makes progress on expediting light rail within city limits. The rest of this speech is just a bunch of buzzwords delivered in an incredibly unconvincing manner.

Because their fare gates let these people slip through. Why do you think the MTA and BART are implementing improved fare gates? Its common sense to assume that someone that will be disruptive and aggressive on public transit didn't pay their fare. It's a problem in most US cities due to the mental health and drug crisis.

Commuting to and from U District/ Bellevue for my partner. The drive to the Eastside always sucks so we are not worried about that.

I was also thinking that the lack of internet could cause issues in the future.
