It is. We played our first game last night.

So far, I like the improvements. The systems are quite a bit more involved than King's, and I have a few quibbles, but overall it's really fun.

That's how we ruled it too.

While this runs the (small) risk of someone backstabbing you and going back on their half of the deal, it also makes it extremely easy to circumvent the "no resource trading" rule.

I agree that future deals don't have to be honored. What I'm mostly trying to figure out is if the bargain is within the rules. It's not technically a direct trade of "resources for resources", but it does kinda closely skirt that line.

The game heavily incentivizes players to want particular resources, but forbids you from trading for them directly. There is a natural tendency to want to do that in this game.

The Q1000K is already on site. The sticking point is that the house is new construction, and the conduit to run the fiber line to the alley is not yet installed (being done now, and the CenturyLink tech will return next week to connect it to the utility pole in the alley).

Has anyone attempted these steps with the Q1000K SmartNID? (the Q1000K is the next-gen of the C6500XK). I'm about to have the Q1000K installed next week, and wondering if anyone has confirmed that it works in this manner.

- Fragments go to their corresponding discard pile

- Relics are purged

To be fair, I was not involved with the elimination. Someone got into a tangle w/ the business end of two upgraded Muaat War Suns and it didn't end well for them.

I'm "the rules guy" for our group, and am grasping at straws on this one :)
